Hi! My name is Melinda Jarman. I've been a parishioner at St. Mary of Nazareth since my early teens, involved in Lifeteen youth group and as a lector and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist during Mass. I even had a try at cantoring a couple times!
Over the past four years my formal studies have been in Chemistry, but I spent much of my extra- curricular time volunteering to lead Bible studies, participating in discipleship mentoring, attending Catholic leadership conferences, and taking an active role in the Church in Maryville, Missouri. I am excited to continue my work in ministry back at my home parish here in Des Moines!
My hobbies include painting, reading, and catching up with friends over a hot cup of tea.
I know these times since the coronavirus struck have been trying, but I am excited and confident to navigate a new world of catechesis with the parish that will be inspiring, uplifting, and fulfilling nonetheless. Praying for you!
