What’s going on?
Thematic Working groups (+ activities) at national level – focuses upon:
• Youth, social & demographic issues - DK, LT, PL*, SE
• Rural entrepreneurship & economic diversification, including youth - BE-FL, DE, LV, PT, SK, NL, UK-Sco
• Focus on quality of life, including youth (axis 4) – CY, PT
Joint NRN Actions
• Young farmers videos (BE-WAL + HU, IT, LV, NL) -> seminar proposal for Spring 2012: “Young farmers, new challenges, new skills”
• Questionnaire – Young People and Rural Areas (IT + many others)
• Baltic Sea Flagship Project (EUSBSR) – sustainable rural development + youth (Nordic-Baltic NRNs)
Co-operation / TNC Projects – for example:
International innovation camp (DK, SE, PL + Norway / US) -> innovation and local business
“Building the future village” (EE, SI, SK, LV, LT) -> working together to improve village life
ODISEO (Catalunya, ES) -> preventing exodus of rural youth
Rural Youth and Young Farmers Gateway?
