1Place the center back pieces right sidestogether and serge up seam. Serge up

the side seams of the skirt.

3Install the twin needle on the

Brother NQ3500D Combination Sewing& Embroidery Machine and topstitch the1" allowance down on the top edge of

the skirt.

2Flip down the top skirt allowance

and pin in place.

4Flip the edges inwards of the fronttop piece and pin in place. Sew in

place from the right side with the twinneedle. Also sew the darts.

5Serge the center back seam. Flip up the hemof the back piece and twin needle in place.

6Mark the grommet placement oneither side of the edges. I marke

and spaced mine all 3" apart.

7Iron the little pieces of interfacing overthe markings, and make a little cut with

scissors. Insert the grommet into thefabric slit and position on a piece of

wood also placed in the grommet tool.

11Measure 1" from the top bodice along

the sleeve and position the lowerbodice at that marking and serge the

rest of the sleeve.

9Serge the shoulder seams of the bodice

together.

10Serge the sleeve in place starting from

the back and ending where the topfront piece stops.

12Pin together the side seams from t

sleeve hem to the bodice hem anserge in place.

at dart tip to secure the dart. Press dartintake towards the center front and back.

5Pin both of the sleeve seams right sidestogether, and sew from underarm pointto sleeve hem. Serge seam allowances

together and press to one side.

2Serge all four of the side seam edg

and pin right sides together.

3Sew both of the side seams together.

4Press the side seams open.

6Flip the sleeves right side out an

7Lay out the peplum pieces right side upwith the pattern near by. Lay the pleats

in the peplum pieces as per the directionarrows on the pattern. Baste the pleats in

place inside the seam allowance.

8Af ter the pleats are all basted in pla

sew the peplum side seams togethand place right sides together with

bodice waistline and sew. Finish tseam allowances together.

9Starting from one center back seam,serge the elastic to the wrong side of

the neckline edge slightly stretching theelastic as you sew. Then flip down the

elastic and topstitch from the right side

with the sewing machine.

10Install the invisible zipper on the

machine and sew the invisible zipperinto the center back seam of the bodice.Then trim the excess of the zipper andsew the rest of the center back seam.

11To finish the bodice press up the h

5Sew the lower collar opening edge to the

neckline of the bodice. Unfold the center frontplackets (that are only pinned and not sewn

down) then sandwich the collar in between thelayers and sew around the neckline.

6Once the collar is sewn to the bod

from the wrong side, topstitch the fbutton and buttonhole plackets dow

place. About 18" from the fold.

9Change the stitch length setting on the

Brother PQ1500SLPRW Sewing Machineto 4 and baste the pleats in the sleevesin place. Also sew a basting stitch in thesleeve crown to slightly ease the sleeve

into the bodice armhole.

10Sew the sleeve into the bodice armedge and then serge all the allowan

together. Sew the side seam of thbodice and the sleeve seam in on

continuous seam, matching the

underarm points. Flip to the right s

left front bodice facing you.

8Install the buttonhole foot on the Brother Innov-is NQ3500D machine and sew buttonhole into

the front bodice as per the markings.

and hem the bottom edge.

13First lay the widest ribbon in place

about 2" up from the bottom edge. Pinin place and then topstitch in place.

Pivot at the corners for the wider ribbonand sew next to both top and bot tom

edges to secure in place.

12Sew the two side seams of the

skirt, right sides together and serallowance together and press towaone side. Open skirt and lay right s

up on table.
