Interim Analysis Methodology

4

Characterize utilities– Clean/prune data (remove misc. “non-utility” entities)– Small (<15 aMW)– Rural (LDD recipients)– Residential (> 60%)

Use 2007-2010 PTR dataset as base – C&RD to be available for next round– PNGC and IDEA pools to be broken out in next round

Develop measure bins based on PTR categories

Develop high-level summaries of measure implementation behavior

Analysis Categories Renewables Measure Bins

– Commercial Envelope– Commercial Equipment– Commercial Lighting– Commercial Third Party– Residential Appliances– Residential Envelope– Residential HVAC– Residential Water Heating– Low Income Weatherization– Agricultural– Industrial – Utility Systems– Traffic Signals

Next Steps

Incorporate C&RD and individual utilities from PNGC and IDEA

Perform analysis on complete dataset

Take a closer look at individual measures, normalize across utilities for comparative analysis

Refine utility selection criteria

Develop list of recommended utilities

Develop draft survey questions
