8. No tenancy existed in respect of this dwelling during the 2 years immediately prior to current tenancy
commencing.
Please provide the date of when that tenancy ended.

Exemption 2
An exemption under section 19(5)(b) of the Residential Tenancies Act 2004 applies to this rent review under the tenancy of the dwelling concerned because in the period since the rent was last set under a tenancy for this dwelling, the following works have been carried out to the dwelling resulting in a substantial change in the nature of the accommodation and that change has increased the letting value of the dwelling. If you are selecting this exemption, you need to provide the details on what basis that you are selecting this option. In the notification of exemption at Part E, you will be presented with a series of options to clearly mark which applies for this dwelling. For example: I have increased the floorspace by 40% from 100m2 to 140m2, adding on a new kitchen and bedroom. I provide the relevant documents to demonstrate this substantial change.
Part C – Reasons for Requesting Exemption to RPZ rent restrictions
Reasons for selecting Exemption 2.
Part D – Required Documentation
If you have selected Exemption 2, you will need to send the RTB supporting documentation, depending upon the substantial changes made to the dwelling.
As applicable – new BER certification (where listed as a reason) As applicable – letter of certification from one of the following clarifying the nature of structural changes: architect, chartered surveyor, chartered engineer and/or planning documentation in relation to these changes.
