First Time Home Buyer’s Workshop

I will be co-hosting a first time home buyer’s workshop on March 14th at the RLP Benchmark office. This is a terrific hour of information which supplies the participants with things that they can be doing now to prepare themselves for home ownership - whether that be in a month, a year or years down the road.

We provide info on the benefits of owning vs. renting, the difference in monthly payments with and without mortgage insurance and how much down payment is needed to purchase the home you want.

We have room for another ten participants, so if you a family member think this might be beneficial, please contact me asap!

I’m never too busy to talk real estate! Your referrals to co-workers, friends and family are very much appreciated. I promise to treat them with the same care and respect I would my own.

St Paddy’s Day

As you likely know, I am a very proud Irish-Canadian! Here’s the Stewart family favourite Irish Dish:

Colcannon

2 1/2 pounds chopped cubed potatoes

2 cups ham, boiled and shredded

1 head cabbage, chopped

1 bunch green onions, chopped

1/2 cup milk or cream

1/2 cup butter

Boil the ham for 20 minutes or so. Remove and boil potatoes in the same water. Remove potatoes and boil the cabbage in the same water. Add together and add green onions. Make 3 holes in the mixture and add the butter. Mix together and add salt and pepper.

Tastes great with a nice glass of Guiness!

Sláinte!! Jill Stewart
