The one day of the year when mothers are pampered, allowed to sleep in, given breakfast in bed, and often they receive flowers. Why is it that they are remem- bered in such a special way? It is because they are special. They have given so much to make us happy. They give everything to show that they care. Mothers pray for us. The list could go on and on. In today’s world, one only needs to look on the www to find numerous poems that portray our love to our mother. Here is one that I enjoyed as I surfed a site. My mom is very sweet and always caring. She worries about me when I am in school. She makes sure that I get where I am going On time so that I don't feel like a fool. She cares whenever I pick on my younger brother. She cares whenever he or I get hurt. She cares whenever I score a goal in soccer. She cares about the buttons on my shirt. But best of all, my mom loves all of us Who live with her, both when we're good and bad. She makes me happy with a hug and kiss And holds my hand whenever I am sad. For many, Mother’s Day bring memories of yesteryear. Maybe each of us need to make a call and say happy Mother’s Day to someone special on Mother’s Day! Principals Note:

    Our Mothers

This weekend is Mothers Day. The one day of the year when

mothers are pampered, allowed to sleep in, given breakfast in bed,

and often they receive flowers. Why is it that they are remem-

bered in such a special way? It is because they are special. They

have given so much to make us happy. They give everything to

show that they care. Mothers pray for us. The list could go on and

    on.

Poems are written about them, songs are sung remembering them

and churches often give them a special flower to make this a spe-

cial day. In todays world, one only needs to look on the www to

find numerous poems that portray our love to our mother.

But best of all, my mom loves all of us

Who live with her, both when we're good and bad.

She makes me happy with a hug and kiss

And holds my hand whenever I am sad.

For many, Mothers Day bring memories of yesteryear. Maybe

each of us need to make a call and say happy Mothers Day to

    someone special on Mothers Day!

    Sincerely,

    Reo Ganson, Principal

As one whom his mother comforts,

    so I will comfort you.

With Special Guest Speaker Adam Ki.

  • It is that time of the year where we need to start accepting pieces of artwork for our 2015-2016

    Reflections Yearbook Cover!

    Guidelines:

There are no limitations for colour. Use an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper (letter size). Cover must contain the name College Heights Christian School, or CHCS (now

in the format of our new logo) Cover must contain our yearbook title Reflections and the current school

year (2015-2016 or 15-16) Make it clean and neat. Be creative and have it show the aspects of CHCS that make our school spe-

cial. (Working with the Christian theme and mindset is essential). Put your name somewhere on the artwork so we know who the artist is.

Deadline to enter is June 3!

    Yearbook Cover Contest

  • The Choral Singers Unite Society (CSUS) is a non-profit organization registered under the

Societies Act of Alberta. CSUS is excited to provide opportunities for youth in our commu-nity to participate in choral singing and enhance their school music activities and choirs. Placement interviews for all choirs begin the third week in May and run until September. Singers will come together each week to experience the joy of singing. The youth in our community will be united through the study and performance of great choral music and discover that music can be a bridge to such essential life skills as compassion, under-standing, respect, commitment, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork to name only a few of our goals. As the programs grow, opportunity for performance and travel will ensue providing extended opportunities for the singers to expand their musical experience. Choirs being offered are: Brioso Children's Choir - grades 1 thru 8 (Jr. gr. 1-3, Sr gr. 4-8), ihana Youth Choir -

ages 14-22, It's Time Vocal Jazz Ensemble - ages 16+, Soliloquy Adult Mixed Chorus - ages 20+
