Terry said that we need one more volunteer to help at the Lord’s Diner- South on Oct. 28. Our turkey dinner delivery is on a Tuesday, rather than Wednesday. Our goal is to deliver 80 dinners, which cost $50 each. A Mixer will follow. Kim Pennington said you can be a reading HERO at Buckner Elementary on Dec. 4. We’ll read to K-2 students. You’ll be able to preview the books before you read to the kids. Some of the Buckner students don’t have books at home so the school wel- comes donated books. Our annual Wichita Chil- dren’s Home Christmas tree decoration day is Sat., Dec. 5. The kids can give the trees as gifts or keep the trees to decorate their room. We’ll help at the Lord’s Diner- Downtown on Feb. 18. In March, we have a Wichita Children’s Home dinner party.
