How Valerie plans to use THE ONE money:

Award Prize: USD 100,000 To build 2 hostels:1. for the disabled school going children at Center for

Rehabilitation of the Paralysed.

2. for those patients undergoing physiotherapy, occupational

therapy, speech & language therapy, provision of wheeled

mobility aids and artificial limbs and orthoses.

Donation: HKD 71,000- support the work of Spinal Cord Injury Development

Association in Bangladesh.

Center for Rehabilitation of the Paralysed

Implementing Due Diligence

THE ONE 2013

* 50% of award money was sent to all the winner and

all the finalists for them to start working on their projects

after they submitted their plans for how the money would

be used, upon approval by THE ONE Organizing

Committee

Our major donor Peter Bennett or a ONE OC member

will visit each of the finalists project sites to ensure the

integrity of the project. Once THE ONE OC accepts the

project progress, we will send awardees the balance

money for them to finish their projects.

Implementing Due Diligence

We will set up a stewardship sub-committee to conduct

and ensure that all is in order All the awardees also

have to submit mid-term reports and final report under

certain criteria before they can receive the final portion

of the award money.

All Bills and expenses have to be reported and copies

sent to us.
