Embracing Agriculture

ASU hosted the 1st Food Commodity Contracting Opportunities for Rural America conference in 2009.

USDA awarded ASU’s Flint River Water Planning & Policy Center a $400,000 grant to assist with technology for water resource management on area farms

SACS COCS reaffirmed our accreditation in 2008

ASU is in the fourth year of our 2006-2011 Strategic Plan

President Freeman just celebrated his 5th anniversary

Alumni contributions are increasing every year

Athletic teams continue to win conference titles & participate in playoffs/tournaments

We retired multi-million dollar debt on football stadium

We have survived multiple years of state budget cuts

ASU Audit Improvement

 

• ASU received a Code 1 rating (it’s best ever) from the BOR Internal Audit staff last year

•The audit rating has improved from a 5 (worst)

to a 1 (best) over the last four years

• This is the first time there have been “NO findings” on an annual audit!  

•ASU also received an “Excellent” rating from a

recent BOR internal audit.
