Thanks for your participation By Katherine Shultz I recently was privileged to be a part of the Towpath TrailYMCA groundbreaking for their pool addition and child care expansion. It started with a vision, planning, and perseverance. It is exciting and rewarding to see this expansion and know that I had a part of that dream becoming a reality. This year in Rotary is like a groundbreaking. We start with a vision, planning, and perseverance. One of my goals for Rotary was to be more visible in the community. We are moving forward with that goal as the Memorial Plaques at theVeterans Memorial Park have just been dedicated with many Massillon Rotarians present. Judge Eddie led that project with first a vision, planning and perseverance. It is now a reality. The COOL project that our club participated in was another opportu- nity seized for club members to show what Rotarians do when there is a need. We helped provide a meal, “cool” water for the volunteers and helped lead activities in the children’s tent. Rotarians: Present, visible, and hands on. That’s exactly what I’m envisioning for our club in the future. Coming together for the greater good and making things happen in our community. We are now moving forward with another goal to increase member- ships. We have several applicants to consider and hopefully to bring them on board in the near future. Committees are being formed and members are stepping up. It takes planning to grow together to support each other and our community. The Rotary Club of Massillon is moving in the right direction as our vision becomes a reality. President’s Message Breaking Ground
