R OTARACT C LUB , H KUSU Rotaract Club of the University of Hong Kong was chartered in 1969 and sponsored and supported by the Rotary Club of Hong Kong. Till now, we have around 400 members. Our board members are re- sponsible for organizing various projects and ac- tivities which aim at providing invaluable learning opportunities and trainings for our Club members and HKU students. Throughout this year, a series of activities and functions will be held to serve the goals of Rotaract in four avenues of service: Club Service, Community Service, International Service and Professional Development. Rotaract is a program of Rotary International. Ro- taract Clubs work under the guidance of their local Rotary Club, and take their name from a combination of the words Rotary and action. RecRuitment talk
Rotaract Club HKUSU Seseeion 2010-2011’s recruit-ment talk was held on 8th October, 2010.
In this talk, our executive committee memebers shared with the audience their experience in organizing com-munity services as well as international service trips.
We were honored to have over 80 audience and the the-atre was almost full even late on Friday evening. Indeed we received overwhelming repsonse as evident by the massive application to my executive committee as well as Ro-Nite organizing committee.

Lamma Island Trip
Hong Kong was developed from a small fishing village to nowadays a metropolis. As time goes by, most of the traditional culture and lifestyle have been lost and disap-peared.
In last November, Our club has organized a Fisherfolk’s village trip which is situated in Lamma Island. The Lamma Island trip includes fishing well as visiting some of the exhibitions over there with refreshments provided.

”Very Enjoyable !It was a fascinating experience for a day in Lamma Is-land. Although it was my first attempt to fish to a pond, I was very proud to be able to get fitch two with 15 minutes. I am already looking forward to a revisit to the village right after the exam .

Ro-Nite 2010
“RO’ NITE 2010” is an annual event organized by Rotaract Club, HKUSU, for our fellow members to broaden their social network.
This year, our theme is Global Party. With Only HK$10 we can enjoy the international delicacies, folk dance and games that we have prepared. And what’s more, all participants stand a chance to be our Mister and Miss International of the day and win fabulous prizes.

Joint-U HighTable Dinner - Envision
The Joint University Rotaract Club High Table Dinner 2010 is jointly organized by the Rotaract Clubs of the Uni-versity of Hong Kong, Chung Chi College, New Asia Col-lege, United College and Shaw College of the Chinese Uni-versity of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University and Hong Kong Baptist University Rotaract Club.
Our members met and befriended with over 160 students from different universities at that night. Moreover, more than 20 established professionals from various fields shared their life experience and secrets of success with participants. Our guests included member of Hong Kong Legislative Council, such as Ms Tanya Chan, Mrs. Regina Ip, Ms Em-ily Lau, Jasper Tsang and so on. Others include Mr. Tsang Fan Kwong, Psychiatric doctor and columnist, Mr. Li Chan Wing, former TVB News broadcaster, etc.
“Enlighten your VisionThe theme of this year Annual High Table Dinner is “Envision”, which means “Enlighten your Vision, Visualize your Inspiration”. This suits the motto of the Rotaract Club perfectly. Guests are invited from different fields of professions, such as politics, enter-tainment, legal and business.
They shared their expertise and personal experience with participants. These surely will enlighten vision of the participants and at the same time broaden their horizons.

International Service Trip to Indonesia Bali • DecemBer 2010
To us the Rotaract Club, HKUSU, Bali is not merely a tourist spot for self-enjoyment and indulgence, but also the main destination of the Delegation to Indonesia 201. Our delegation covers local service projects and fellowship program in Indonesia.
