CONTEST RULESB. MANNER AND PROCEDURE

B1. • Each contestant will be provided with an answer sheet.• Only the final answer shall be written on the space provided

for each question.• A proctor will check each participant’s answer sheet after

each question and place a check on correct answer or an “x” on wrong answer.

• The words “no answer” shall be written where applicable.• For mathematics, if there is no more time to put the answer

on the answer sheet, the answer on the scratch paper can be encircled.

B2. • Contestants will be given ten (10) seconds to answer questions on Science and General Information; fifteen (15) seconds when an answer is a phrase or a sentence where longer time is required.

• In Mathematics, contestants are given thirty (30) seconds to answer Easy Questions, forty-five (45) seconds to answer Average Questions, and sixty (60) seconds to answer Difficult Questions.

• A blank sheet of paper will be provided to serve as scratch paper where computations may be made.

B3. • Questions will be read twice and the counting of the time allotted will commence only after the quizmaster says “GO!”, which will be given after the question is read the second time.

• Contestants will be required to raise their respective writing hand with the writing instrument (ballpen) at the end of the allotted time when the Timer says “STOP!”.
