February 6, 2013 Booster Meeting Minutes
I. Welcome
Sandra Knott, President of the Booster Club, called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm.

II. Review and Approval of November 7, 2012 meeting minutes
November 7, 2012 meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.
III. Treasurer’s Report Molly Sachse reported that total expense budget for 2012 was $39,610.75 and Total actual
expenses were $24,391.62. The 2013 budget is planned at $39,856, this includes $6,000 for
capital improvement. Significant budget changes from 2012 to 2013 include the replacement of
varsity uniforms plus warmups and coaches apparel and the Duluth trip.
IV. Captains’ Comments
No captains present.
V. Coaches’ Comments
Choice Loyalty check for Q4 was $48.
Added Duluth East to the schedule this year. All teams will go up to play. Coach bus provided
for all grade levels/teams.
Camp St. Croix, will be adding tower climbing.
Added Jump Team Build for entire program on 8-19-13.
Buying backpacks for the JV program this year. New Varsity uniforms. Away Jerseys are Kelly
Green. Home Jerseys are white with Vegas Gold numbering. Uniforms are on a 5-6 year cycle.
Hensley design will be doing all of our clothing this year. She does have an online site for
ordering.
Sunday, May 19th
will be the pre-season Parent/Player Meeting 3:30-4:30.
Coach will visit the middle schools in March. Captains can attend these sessions as well.

Scholarship Committee. There are 7 seniors this year. Motion made and approved to
issue two scholarships at $500 for the 2013 graduating seniors. Usually consists of Coach Adams,
Coach Nicole, President, Secretary and a Neutral Party.
Sandra Knott brought up One Rosemount Feeding Families as an option for a team
bonding event. This is a City-Wide food packing event at Rosemount Middle and Elementary
Schools and is on Saturday, March 2nd
. We will have the captains organize this.

February 6, 2013 meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.
III. Treasurer’s Report Rich shared the monthly treasurer report. One deposit this month from Royalty card and one expense for
down payment on Camp St. Croix.
IV. Captains’ Comments
Marisa and Kaylie gave an update on team bonding events. They have done 3 activities so far: Attended
an adapted hockey game, packing of food for One Rosemount Feeding Families and the Buffalo
Wildwings fundraiser. They are communicating to players via Twitter and Facebook. Will also use list
serve, the website and look into group texting option. They are meeting this weekend with Coach Adams
and the uniform vendor to look at samples. They are also still deciding on a slogan.
V. Coaches’ Comments
Coach Adams shared that time is being spent getting ready for the May 19 preseason player/parent
meeting. He will be visiting the three middle schools in March and April. He and coach Floersch are
meeting with RAAA as well regarding promotion of youth soccer in the community and summer camps.
Most game schedules are final, still working on freshman schedules but will be finalized soon.
4v4 will be run again by coach Tompkins and registration will be handled through Community Education.
Hannah Halterman won the Athena Award.

III. Treasurer’s Report Email update from Rich – Coach Adams has a check from Buffalo Wild Wing fundraiser and payment for
website renewal.
IV. Captains’ Comments
Kaylie said they have picked out the clothing with Maureen Hensley. Sweatshirt is a navy, quarter zip
pullover, sweatpants will be grey and t-shirt is bright yellow. The captains are working on finalizing the
team slogan. Discussion held about having some parent spirit wear available at the May informational
meeting. Kaylie will discuss with Maureen Hensley.
V. Coaches’ Comments
Coach Adams was unable to attend but sent an email update. The May 19 pre-season player parent
meeting is in the student center from 3:30-5:30. He has also scheduled visits at the middle schools: St.
Joe’s 4/19, RMS, 5/3 and Scott Highlands 5/7.

o FTTH is local company that the Site council will be kicking off a fundraiser with. Football wants
fiber to the stadium so FTTH is willing to work with RHS and provide this at a discounted or free
cost based on the number of new customers and/or upgrades sold during the fundraiser.

Dawn Igoe presented options for photo sharing site. The motion was made and approved to use
Shutterfly. Dawn will set up the site and put together some recommendations on naming
conventions. This will be shared with the team parents/photographers at a meeting at the
beginning of season where we give an overview on team parent duties, website, etc.

Coaches’ Comments
Parent/Player meeting – Sunday, May 19 – (Sandra created postcards - almost ready to go out)
Coach met with St. Joes 8th
graders on 4/22 and will meet with RMS on 5/3 and Scott Highlands
on 5/7.
The numbers show that there will be two freshman teams again.
Looking for a 9 Green coach. Coach Kline will coach the sophomore team this fall.
Varsity Uniforms and warm-ups for this fall have been ordered.
Scholarship winners are Madeline Murphy and Sydney Newton.
RAAA created a new board that Coach Adams and Floersch are involved with. RAAA will give
the program $4 per participant this year instead of a specific dollar amount stipend as in the past.
Burnsville has been added to our section this year.

Sunday, Aug 18 beginning at 11:00. Deb will put together a schedule. Need a couple of helpers
to coordinate on that day. Dawn Igoe offered to help and checking with Molly Sachse to see if she
is available as she did it last year. Schedule will be communicated via list serve, website and at
player/parent meetings.
Deb will also plan on doing photos at other events such as car wash, senior night, mentor dinner,
etc.
Becky Busho offered to sit at table at 5/19 meeting to get volunteers for booster club.
Sandra will bring extra water bottles for sale at 5/19 meeting.
Dawn Igoe has set up Shutterfly websites for each team for photo sharing. They are linked off the
website under the photo link. Once teams are formed, she will need team member names and
emails addresses to invite people to the site.

and a coordinated event with the boys teams such as bonfire, movie night, relay for life.

As of today, 73 have registered for soccer.
Attendance at captains’ practice is not known to the coaches.
8 coaches including a student teacher who is a volunteer coach.
For tryouts, each coach will stay at a station so they can see all players.
8:00 am room 120 Monday morning tryouts begin.
All teams’ schedules are finalized. Coach Adams will give to website coordinator to place on
website.
Team bonding events are important. Aug 19 at 6:30 (?) we will have JUMP program. Entire
program team building and then varsity will have one hour team specific.
Uniforms are on 6 year cycle. We donated old uniforms to kids in Brazil. A former RHS player
who plays at Bethel College brought them to Brazil.
Alumni game was successful and a lot of fun. Alumni won 1-0!
RAAA donated $4 per player.

o On track, contacted all sponsors and starting to get checks in. We have a couple of new

o Priced food at Sam’s Club. Will have grill from Knights of Columbus again. We have
approval for donating four soccer balls from Medi-car. Two for boys team and two for
girls team. Varsity players sign the balls and are used for prizes. We will need
volunteers to work at concessions, table selling posters, raffles, etc. We work during
boys game and they work during our game. Will have varsity players at a table after
the game to sign posters that are purchased.

daycares.
o Dakota United adapted sports game/pizza party. Will schedule once we have the
teams’ schedules.

o Special Olympics unified flag football event on Oct 12-13 in West St Paul. Kelly is

players to go to schools the day of game in uniform and hand out flyers. We have some
donations to use for raffle giveaways. Team posters, a yard sign, water bottles, etc.

No captains present. They had a great season and a lot of fun with the girls. Tuesday there will be a
pizza party for varsity for top wreath sales. Still discussing the lock in at RHS.
Coaches’ Comments
Attended each team’s banquet and they were all very nice.
Jefferson and Kennedy out of South Suburban Conference for next season. Shakopee and
Farmington are in. We will still play Jefferson next year. We will not play Cloquet but will play
Esko during the Duluth trip.
Game days/times have changed due to referee availability. Varsity games will be 5:30 and 7:30
next year for Varsity. JV will play on the same day, at the same site as varsity but at 4:15.
Sophomore will move to Mon-Wed at 4:15. Schedules are all set for next year.
2014 captains are Carly Dawson, Sara Stuckey and Brenna Sullivan. There is an application
process for interested captains and the girls vote.
Had a great season this year!
3D patches are in. Kevin will put in plastic bag with player’s name in his mailbox in office and
girls can pick them up.
