ePortfolio Program

ePortfolios are an electronic collection of students' work and reflections showing development and growth in

learning. Therefore an ePortfolio is both a product as well as a process. They can be used as a personal

branding tool to market oneself to potential employers and transfer institutions.

If you would like to learn more about the ePortfolio program or are already planning to incorporate ePortfolios

into your fall classes, please contact Fred Damon, Career Specialist, at [email protected] or Tina Moyer,

New Video Creation Software

The Department of Online Learning is moving to new video creation software – Canvas Studio. TechSmith

informed us that they would be phasing out their Knowmia product. Canvas Studio has the same functionality

and captioning capabilities as Knowmia, and it will be an easy transition for those who already know how to use

Knowmia.

Canvas Studio will become available for the Spring 2022 semester, and we will be offering training on this new

product prior to the opening of this semester. At the end of the Spring 2022 semester, all Knowmia videos will be

migrated into Studio. This should not affect any courses where you have the videos posted. However, Studio will

not be able to migrate in-video quizzes. Please begin making a note of where you have in-video quizzes for post

migration updates.

Beginning in Summer 2022, Knowmia will no longer be available for video production, and all video creation will

be done through Canvas Studio. Please watch the College Voice and announcements through the Center for

Online Learning for more information.

Two sessions of certification training remain for the fall semester. Please note that if you area already Canvas

certified, you do not need to complete the Remote Certification. This is only for faculty who have not

been certified and are ONLY teaching remote classes.
