Romans 5 1-5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By Whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulationsglory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulationtribulation worketh patiencepatience; And patience, experienceexperience; and experience, hopehope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of Godlove of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth His Love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

3

The Love of God is beyond humanbeyond human comprehension.

A righteous man might be willingmight be willing to die in the place ofplace of a really good man,

But certainly notcertainly not for an ungodly man.

Yet, JesusJesus died for us when we were ungodly ungodly sinnerssinners, unworthy of any consideration.

At the perfect timeperfect time, God sent JesusJesus into this world to shed His Bloodshed His Blood for the remission of sin,

And to die so thatso that we could live.

We may thinkthink it is past time for God to act,

But But His WisdomHis Wisdom is perfect, is perfect,

And so is His timingHis timing.

9-10 Much more then, being now justified by His Blood, we shallshall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

7

Seeing that God saved ussaved us from His wrath when wewhen we were ungodly sinners,

Certainly God will not forsakenot forsake us now that we are reconciledreconciled unto Him -- at peaceat peace with Him,

And Jesus has been raisedraised from the dead.

While we were ungodly sinners, Christ died for us, shedding His Blood to wash away our sins.

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

10

Since Adam's transgressionAdam's transgression of God's Word, breaking the only ruleonly rule God had made --

Every person born has been born in sinborn in sin.

But alsoalso, every person born has himselfhimself sinned.

Page 11: Romans 5b The Grace of God

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 NeverthelessNevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

11

Page 12: Romans 5b The Grace of God

Through Adam's sinAdam's sin death entered into the world.

12

But, thank Godthank God, through Jesus Christ, we can have lifelife and life more abundantabundant.

Life to the fullLife to the full!!We will not receivereceive eternal life when we die.

We now havenow have eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Page 13: Romans 5b The Grace of God

The only timeonly time our joy is lessenedlessened is when we get our eyes on circumstancescircumstances in this world, walk in sinwalk in sin,

And forget the true lifetrue life we now live.

13

Psalms 5 11-12 But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoicerejoice: let them ever shout for joyjoy, because Thou defendest them: let them also that love Thy Name be joyfuljoyful in thee. For Thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt Thou compass him as with a shield.

Page 14: Romans 5b The Grace of God

Don't be a duty-boundduty-bound, miserablemiserable Christian.

14

Coming to church, but without joy.

Singing without joy.

Rather, serve the Lord with gladness.

Be joyful in the House of God.

Page 15: Romans 5b The Grace of God

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condem-nation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by One, Jesus Christ.)

15

Page 16: Romans 5b The Grace of God

18 Therefore as by the offence of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous.

16

Page 17: Romans 5b The Grace of God

20 Moreover the Law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reigngrace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

17

We have everythingeverything to rejoice in, and nothingnothing in which to be sadsad, madmad, or unhappyunhappy.
