ROCKPORT PUBLIC SCHOOLS GIVES BACK: A FIRST NIGHT FOR EDUCATION [ APRIL 26, 2018 | 4:00 - 8:00 PM ] [ ROCKPORT, MA ] WELCOME TO RPS GIVES BACK: A FIRST NIGHT FOR EDUCATION The Rockport Public School Community and the Town of Rockport have supported each other for generations, and this event serves to highlight, celebrate, and further develop this unique partnership. Over 250 students, teachers, parents, and community members have already come together to work on collaborative projects, from student voices for social justice to authentic research in science, to community ecosystem improvements. We invite all interested parties to come out on this evening to support commerce, eat at our restaurants, and take part in the various exhibitions being held throughout town. Our students will benefit from community feedback, and we hope that all will come away with a better understanding of the many ideas and talents we can build on for the future of Rockport. A special thank you to the Shalin Liu Performance Center, Rockport Public Library, Rockport Congregational Church, The Old Firehouse Trust, the Selectmen of Rockport and the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce for believing in the spirit and importance of this special event. Without their support, our students would not have this invaluable opportunity.
