Test Firing!!

• The children build their own rockets.

• These are then test fired on the school playing field.

• The top five are selected to compete against other schools.

Lift-off!!

• The rockets are fired after a countdown.

• Sometimes the contestants get wet!!

• Other classes come to watch.

• They cheer on the rockets of friend’s and relatives.

• The winning team:

• Total distance flown - 308.7 metres

The overall distance winner!

• His rocket travelled 115 metres!!

• It was fired first and remained unbeaten.

• It flew further than rocket entries from 5 local High School’s.
