The Walter Gloor Mainstage Series Chicago
Oct. 19, 20 & 25 at 7:30 p.m.; Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. Step into the world of showgirls, vaudeville and celebrity
crime in this razzle-dazzle musical from John Kander, Fred
Ebb and Bob Fosse. Set in prohibition-era Chicago, the story
follows two would-be starlets accused of murder who become cell-block rivals as they
try to turn their “celebrity status” into a ticket to stardom. The numbers in this Tony

The Piano Lesson
Nov. 30, Dec. 1 & 6 at 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. A family struggles with the past and the future as they debate
whether to sell a valuable antique piano. Boy Willie, a share-
cropper, wants to sell it in order to purchase the land upon
which his ancestors toiled as slaves. His sister believes the
family should hold on to the heirloom. This searing drama by
August Wilson won a Tony Award and a Pulitzer Prize.
Stop the World – I Want to Get Off

chronicles a man’s struggle to improve his lot in life – only to discover
in the end that what he really needed was always right in front of him.
The Diary of Anne Frank
April 12, 13 & 18 at 7:30 p.m.; April 14 at 2 p.m. This timeless work of a young Jewish girl’s coming-of-age experi-
ences as her family hides from the Nazis in Amsterdam during
World War II earned both a Tony Award and a Pulitzer Prize. The
story is told through Anne’s diary entries starting just after her 13th
birthday – mere days before her family is forced into hiding in an
attempt to escape the tyranny of invading Nazi forces.
