E-Rate supports connectivity only

Schools are responsible for equipment, software

, and professional development

Schools are required to have an approved

technology plan in place before discounted services

begin

Provides discounts to schools and libraries for

affordable telecommunications and Internet access

Discounts range from 20% to 90%

Eligibility depends on the poverty level and the
