Bob “Wahoo” Sim- mons, 77, of Battle Ground, WA passed away on July 21, 2012. He was born in Eureka, CA, to Martha and William Sim- mons. Bob graduated from Fortuna High School, CA, in 1954. He served in the US Navy and retired from the Bonneville Power Administration in 1994, with numerous jobs in-between. Bob enjoyed antiquing, hunting, fishing, trips to the coast and making things for family and friends. He loved his family and was enjoying time spent with his newest grandson, James Robert. Bob is survived by his wife Sheryl, son Frank (Renee), daughter Kathleen Simmons, Elizabeth Duff and Tracie (Mike) Matchem, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters, Jackie and Sheila. Special thanks to Rich and Kimberley Smart and the Fire District 3 responders. A memorial service will be held Sat., August 18, at 11 a.m. at Laynes Funeral Home in Battle Ground. A gathering for all will follow at the family home. Bob “Wahoo” Sim-mons, 77, of Battle Ground, WA passed away on July 21, 2012. He was born in Eureka, CA, to Martha and William Sim-mons. Bob graduated from Fortuna High School, CA, in 1954.

He served in the US Navy and retired from the Bonneville Power Administration in 1994, with numerous jobs in-between.

Bob enjoyed antiquing, hunting, fishing, trips to the coast and making things for family and friends.

He loved his family and was enjoying time spent with his newest grandson, James Robert.
