CRG TEC’s specialist DDaT Consultants were selected as an exclusive partner to source a new Head of ICT for Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue. This was a board level role with responsibility for managing the ICT support, project delivery teams and ICT infrastructures within the service.
We were chosen to supply NFRS with such a business-critical role because our Consultant’s demonstrated an understanding of the mixture of technical skills and softer competencies required for the Head of ICT role, in addition to the need for a successful candidate to be based in the Nottinghamshire area to appreciate the service’s vision to put safety at the heart of the community.

NHS NECSCase Study
CRG TEC are supporting the NHS North of England Commissioning Support (NECS), a technology focused division of the NHS, during their current recruitment drive. Recent requirements focused on Lead Full Stack developers in Durham to oversee the teams deploying projects across the NHS and into other larger scale businesses.
Candidates need to have specific software experience working on large scale systems and websites. NHS NECS have struggle to recruit in the past because they couldn’t access local candidates with the correct mixture of technical and leadership skills.

The Forestry Commission develops and maintains public sector housing and commercial offices across the New Forest area, totaling over 100 properties.
In a bid to improve energy efficiency and overall housing standards within the region the organisation sought to expand their estates team.
CRG TEC’s property consultants supported The Forestry Commission across the whole recruitment plan from Building Surveyors, Estimators and Clerk of
Works through to Facilities Coordinators and Project Assistants. Owing to the needs of the project these positions were a mixture of contract,
permanent and temporary to permanent assignments.
The main challenge faced by the recruitment team was the small candidate pool available, as suggested the majority of the territory covered by The Forestry Commission has a small resident population so our Consultant’s
had to innovate to find suitability qualified people for the variety of positions required.
This partnership allowed The Forestry Commission to implement much-needed improvements and renovations ahead of schedule across the
area, bringing their project in on time and to budget.
HMRCCase Study
CRG TEC were appointed exclusively to source a newly created Head of Engineering role for HMRC to oversee the engineering and facilities management aspect of their £330m estates transformation program.
Two previous recruitment strategies to appoint for this role had already failed because of the specific requirements of the position, its high-profile nature and its location in Nottingham. Owing to the time lost on the unsuccessful recruitment projects CRG TEC had to work to
tight timelines to ensure an appointment was secured before the program commenced.
Following expedited specialist sourcing and headhunting techniques operated by CRG TEC’s Lead Consultant a direct offer of employment
was made to the successful candidate who matched all HMRC requirements within 3 weeks.
