Riverview Elementary has established a Science Lab
for students, a project which was aided by a grant from
the Farmington Area Education Foundation.
Riverview teachers Rachael Olson and Cinda Current
introduced school board members to the lab the first
week of school.
Brian Treakle and Tim Burke learned about “Bud” a
Miniature Russian Turtle.
Here is where Bud lives when he is not with students.
Brian Treakle gets an up close encounter with
“Tilly”, a Blue Tongued Skink.
“Tilly” found a new friend with Tim Burke. Students are able
to interact with these creatures in similar ways.
Cinda Current introduced “Tilly” to Farmington
Board Member Melissa Sauser.
The lab includes a number of creatures including insects and
snakes. All are safe for even the youngest of learners.
