Keep the Summer Fun Going! It’s hard to believe that we are almost half-way through with our summer camps. So much has been seen and accomplished and there is so much excitement still to come. Teen Travel has already been to Club Getaway, Toronto & Niagara Falls. Summer Stage is now keenly focused on their production of Peter Pan. Camp Kehilla keeps raising the bar each day with all of the special programs and partnerships they consistently add. Camp Kelanu has been safely working with our youngest campers, preparing them for their next steps and RYDC has been helping campers learn how to problem solve while also developing new skills.

Time is running out to register for our End of Summer programs for those weeks between Camp and School. The Y! offers five amazing options, including two opportunities that are completely new — Camp Kehilla Extra and Theater! Information on each program can be found at www.riverdaley.org/endofsummer. Spots are limited!

Looking to Fall, we have already been preparing our after-school programs. We’re trying to add some new enrichment opportunities while fine-tuning some of our traditional offerings. We have added “Theater” to Y!Care @ PS 24 as an included enrichment program with your registration. Additionally, if you register for enrichment classes at PS 24 on days you have Y!Care, you’ll receive a 50% discount on your class. We want you to take advantage of all the Y has to offer, so we have a special membership opportunity exclusively for Y!Care families. Visit www.riverdaley.org/afterschool for more information.

As Riverdale’s premier destination for youth programming, we have you covered, any time of year. Don’t miss our September 7th Fall Open House to learn about all that we have planned!

You’re Welcome Here!

A note from the Y!’s BoardAs August rapidly approaches, positive change is happening at the Y. Deann Forman, the Chief Operating Officer of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, will be the new Chief Executive Officer of the Riverdale Y starting mid-September. The Y will immediately benefit from her experience, energy and passion. The men’s locker room is finished and it looks spectacular. Lastly, a project to fix the front windows and parapet wall should begin by September. Enjoy the rest of the summer and we’ll see you at our Sunday, September 7th Fall Open House!
