01 RIVER ISLAND INSPIRATION SPRING/SUMMER 2013

For the Spring Summer 2013, River Island Inspiration will come from 3 main topics:1920 looks, “Elite Safari” and Dreamy Holidays Colour pallets.

The shape development will be de-signed with inspiration coming from 1920 inspired looks,lots of attention to details ,feminine but slightly extra-vert look.As for the mood of the collection, we will follow summer trend 2013 which will be “Elite Safari “.A combination of amazing cuts, elegant but sporty shapes, beautiful fabrics and luxury feel,We will also combine this look with

inspiration coming from holidays safari feel, Egyptian, Moroccan shapes and accessorize coming straight from Cleopatra’s land.For prints we will integrate Egyptian elements and graphics mixed with dreamy safari and holiday color pal-lets to create a unique spring sum-mer look.

03 COLOUR PALETTE INSPIRATION -”DREAM SCENE”

Imagine a dream scene with clouds , car-ousels and shades of cotton candy ,where flowy fabrics and icy shades are sprinkled with shimmer and sheen. Materials set the mood as washed silk and layers of tulle in soft colors meet shiny boucle, lace and broderie anglaise .Water color florals and wonderland conversationals bring a whim-sical element to this magical theme.

Egyptian and moroccan inspirationWe will also take advantage from Egyptian and Marocan shapes and inspi-ration like baggy pants or losing tops to create a more sporty and summer alike feel. The Egyptian inspiration will be used as well for looks accessorize and mainly for print development for the spring summer collection 2013.
