Attendance
FACTS…
The reality is an absence is an absence, excused or not, when you arenot in the classroom benefiting from the instruction on that day.
•Research shows that missing 10% of school, or about 18 days,
negatively affects a student’s academic performance.
That’s just 2 days per month!
•For every day of school missed, it takes three days to make up what
was taught.
•By middle school and high school, chronic absence is the leading
warning sign that a student will drop out.
Attendance Policy
3 Unlawful Absences:
The student is considered by PA law to be “truant”
4 Unlawful Absences:
The student is enroute to being “habitually truant”
6 Unlawful Absences:
The student is now considered “habitually truant”

Positive Behavior Intervention &
Supports (PBIS)Key components of our school’s PBIS system involve:
● Clearly defining and teaching a set of behavioral expectations
● Consistently acknowledging and rewarding appropriate behavior
● Constructively addressing problematic behavior
● Effectively using behavioral data to assess progress
At RHS, we are providing a safe environment where today’s students are respectful,
accountable, and motivated to face the challenges of tomorrow.
