▪ Need: Communities suffer from lack of potable water; nearby sources are depleted or highly contaminated

▪ Solution: Mountain spring source tapped, water system constructed, 6.8km of pipeline

▪ Benefit: Improved access to potable water for 1000 people

▪ Project cost: $75,000

▪ Current Stage: Project transferred to Chicagoland Chapter due to travel warnings

▪ Need: Community geographically isolated 1.5 km from nearest water supply

▪ Solution: Water distribution system designed, including pumping station, pipelines, water storage facility

▪ Benefit: Improved access to potable water for 1000 people

▪ Project cost: $60,000

▪ Current Stage: System implementation in December 2015 or January 2016

▪ Need: Community members must cross major highway to access water source; manual well pumps are difficult to use

▪ Solution: New well to be drilled, system designed to pump water from well to storage tanks

▪ Benefit: Improved access to potable water for 500 people

▪ Project cost: $70,000

▪ Current Stage: System implemented in May 2015

▪ Scope: 1-2 years, 1 community of between 100-300 people
