SALMON SPECIAL SERIESIn recent years, the waters off the German island of Rügen have become a popular location for trolling. While the latest trends in lures and tackle used to be dictated by Scandinavia or our cousins across the Atlantic, today Germany is a hub of innovation. All areas of angling have their own special require-ments. With the Special Series, we wanted to rise to that challenge! With the addition of new products, and by refining the colour patterns of the existing range, we have given the already fantastically successful Rhino lures a new dimension. Hundreds of landed salmon and sea trout as well as precise knowledge of the behaviour of foraging fish have inspired the colour concept of this special range.

RügenGreen-yellow-green is always a deadly combination. In sunny weather and where there is a build-up of algae, these colours deliver the goods. With its fluorescent colours the lure has an excellent

success rate from the surface down to 60 feet on a downrigger. As with the Bloody Tail, the red stripe results in extra fish on the bank.

Gold Swedish FlagSimilar concept to the Copper Master Herring. Gold is not only more precious than

silver, it can also mean considerably more fish in the boat in clear waters. The black spots provide necessary contrast and an additional attraction for the fish.

Copper Master HerringA subtle blue-green pattern on a copper spoon. Fish are always tempted to take a closer look

when the sun is shining and in clear water. Too many silver reflections can actually scare them off. This is where the copper spoon comes into its own – often less is more!

TROLLING TEAM LINE Tight clips and the everyday stresses of trolling place enormous strain on a line. High durability, coupled with a high breaking strain, is a vital ingredient in the selection of a line for trolling. The Trolling Team Line meets these criteria and comes in a discrete colour as preferred by many trolling anglers.

RHINO PARAVANE Head weights deliver the bait to the desired depth, enabling effec-tive angling at a variety of water depths. Customary paravanes, however, have a distinct disadvantage. They require a leader and the leader is dependent on the length of the rod, to enable you to still land the fish. Not so with the Rhino Paravan. This clip-on weight can attach anywhere to the line without causing damage. It neither affects the agile behaviour of the bait, nor alarms the fish because seaweed has become tangled up with it etc. All of this means less time with the rod in your hand than without the Rhino Paravan.

RHINO XTRA ROD HOLDER Made from robust plastic and designed to produce the lowest of production tolerances. Can be attached to the deck and has 12 rest positions with 360° rotation. Thanks to a built-in notch, the rod can only be set in one position and cannot shift into the other positions unwanted through shaking. The tilt mechanism is securely attached via fixed snap-in points and a robust adjuster bolt. The rod can be secured against jumping out via a rubber clamp. Weight: 400 g.

RHINO COBOLD OUTBOARD MOTORSmall and manageable but effective. With its 18 lb of thrust the Cobold is designed for use with dinghies or canoes. Like its big brother, the Cobold boasts optimal power consumption enabling longer operation for the same battery capacity. Features a switch for ‘forwards’, ‘off’ and ‘back-wards’, also offers a choice of two speeds. The propeller depth in the water and steering pressure are continuously adjustable via screws. The tiller can be lowered into the motor head to save space during transport. Finally, the shaft comes with an ingenious fastener allowing the motor to fold up should it come up against any obstacles.

THE INLINERInline rods have been the preferred choice of many French and Italian catfish anglers for many years. This rod type is ideally suited to active vertical angling, clonking and jigging. The carbon inline blank offers a fantastic and almost indestructible action. Line tangling in the rings is a thing of the past thanks to line guide. Excellent for freestyle catfish fishing where the angler holds the line in his hand and strikes by hand. The true strength in this rod is particularly evident during the fight, but for the catfish their efforts are in vain. Threader included.

THE INLINER LIGHTFishing on light tackle is booming. Landing a large specimen on light tackle is hugely enjoyable. In the Inliner Light, Black Cat has developed a rod that marries top-quality design with light weight and enough power in reserve to tame Catfish of up to 2 metres. The rod is suitable for all current styles of fishing and particularly comes into its own with freestyle clonking, where the angler positions the bait by hand and sets the strike in the same way. The pod can be set up to hold rods securely at an enormous height (over 250cm) and allows the angler to hold lines out of the water over extreme distances, especially when river fishing, guaranteeing perfect contact with the bait.
