WORLD PHARMACIST DAY CELEBRATED
The World Pharmacist Day was celebrated on 25-09-2017 at
University campus, Bhopal. Programme was coordinated jointly by
School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPS), RGPV and Indian
Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) MP branch with full enthusiasm and
joy which was attended by students of both B.Pharm and M. Pharm.

Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunil Gupta, and stage was graced
by Prof. S. N. Umathe, key Speaker of this event, Mr. K.C. Sharma,
Senior Vice President Lupin Pharma, and IPA President Mr. Sanjay
Jain. Professor Deepti Jain, Head of the Department SOPS RGPV,
highlighted the theme of this year World Pharmacist Day FROM
RESEARCH TO HEALTHCARE: YOUR PHARMACIST AT YOUR SERVICES. Main
attraction of the event was a pharma quiz with cash prize of Rs.
3000, 2000 & 1000 , and free eye camp, held by ASG hospital
Bhopal. University staff and students were highly benefitted by the
camp which concludes like More than 70% of candidates have improper
eye sight which is mainly due to mobiles. On this occasion, Truba
College of Pharmacy, SIRTP Pharmacy College and SOPS RGPV, secured
first, second and third place respectively, students also
participated in the open quiz, model making, poster presentation
related to the pharmacy and cultural activity.

and innovative research ideas of the modern world. Our students are
innovators, engineers, managers, entrepreneurs, and aspiring
leaders from every age group and are located at every corner of the
country. Our unique teaching and learning process with
a proper blend of theory and practice crosses the boundaries of
nations towards industry-readiness and global excellence. UIT, RGPV
Bhopal is envisaged as an autonomous teaching-cum-research Centre
physically located in the University campus. Thus, all teaching and
research facilities at UIT will be made available to students of
the University and of affiliated colleges. In the near future it is
envisioned that UIT will become a role model for other Institutes
to follow and in the process help elevate the standard of education
and research across the country. Emphasis is being given to
strengthen the basic infrastructure of the basic & research
laboratories, Cleanliness drive is being taken up from time to time
.major training schedules in the field of pedagogy and technical
streams are fixed up in order to update & refresh the faculty ,
skill imparting initiatives for the students are being taken up
.hostels are being refurbish and their facilities are being
improved up .Frequent campus recruitment drives are being started
to provide job opportunities to students. We have made a stunning
new beginning but there is a long way to go but I am sure, with the
active cooperation of all our stakeholders, students, faculty,
staff, employees, collaborators, parents of the students,
governmental organizations, media and public at large, we will be
able to fulfill the motto of UIT RGPV Bhopal.

An invited expert lectures on SOLAR ENERGY by Dr. Akash Devda,
Scientist E2, Gujarat Energy Research & Management Institute,
Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat and on Global Environmental Issues and
Climate Change by Shri Lokendra Thakkar, General Manager, CDM
Agency, EPCO, Environment Department, Govt. of M.P. were organized
on 06-09-2017 and 13-09-2017 respectively by School of Energy and
Environment Management (SoEEM) RGPV Bhopal. M.Tech. students, UG/PG
research scholars and faculty members marked their presence during
the lectures. Honble Vice Chancellor RGPV Prof. Sunil Kumar and
Rector RGPV Prof. Mukesh Pandey graced the lecture with their

Sunil Kumar and Secretary, ECI, Dr. P.R.Swaroop to establish a
center of excellence at University campus. Engineering Council of
India (ECI) is an apex body of engineers that works towards the
advancement of engineering profession in various disciplines and
for enhancing the image of engineers in society, by focusing on
quality and accountability of engineers.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP ORGANIZED
A blood donation camp was organized on 13-09-2017 at the
University in colloboration with Gandhi Medical College, Hamidia,
Bhopal in which a total of 111 units of blood was actively donated
by faculty members, students and other staff members of the
University. Prof. Sunil Kumar, Vice Chancellor RGPV inaugurated
the event and appreciated the concern of students and staff
members towards society. Prof. S.K. Jain, Registrar, RGPV was glad
to witness the enthusiasm among students and staff members for this
noble activity. Prof. Manju Singh, Dean Students Welfare
coordinated the smooth functioning of the camp.

As a part of green campus initiative, University has taken a
significant step by providing e-rickshaw facility within its
premises to all campus visitors and dwellers.
CSIR Foundation day platinum jubilee celebrated at CSIR-
ADVANCED MATERIALS AND PROCESSES RESEARCH INSTITUTE, Bhopal, on
27-09-2017 and on this occasion, Mrs. Rainy Gupta, lecturer,
University Polytechnic received an appreciation certificate
regarding her research publications in SCI journals. She also has
been awarded with first prize in P.K. Rangari photography
competition organised by AMPRI staff club, Bhopal.
FACULTY NEWS
CODEADEPT 2017 ORGANIZEDCoding contest was organized by IT
Department, UIT RGPV on 13,14-09-2017 to test the logical as well
as programming skills of the students. It was two days and three
round online coding contest. Total approx 250 hundred students
participated in this coding contest. Coding contest was fruitful
for students preparing for Campus. Participants was selected at
each round and promoted to next round based on their performance.
Following Student won Cash prize, Certificate and Trophy. Mr.
Suchit Yadav, Department of CSE; Ms. Sneha Sharma, Department of
IT; and Mr. Chitransh Vishwakarma, Department of CSE won the first,
second and third cash prizes respectively. Dr Roopam Gupta, Dr
Anjana Pandey and Dr Sachin Goyal were the coordinator of this
program.

EDITORIAL BOARD
A three-days entrepreneurship awareness camp was organized by
Vaisnavi Group of Institutions on 20-09-2017. The programme was
sponsored by Ahmadabad-based Entrepreneurship Development Institute
of India. During the programme, participants got an opportunity to
interact with the speakers from different companies. Speakers also
highlighted the bottlenecks associated with setting-up of new
businesses. Dr. Shikha Agrawal, Coordinator, e-entrepreneurship
