This unique style is based on a square with two parallel holes. Once old, being made new again with the help of modern technology creating
CONSISTENT QUALITY AND FABULOUS FINISHES. We are proud to offer these beads in more colors and finishes than ever before. This design is perfect for symmetrical patterns and is very popular in fringing, bracelets and jewelry designs. In addition, CzechMates™ Tile Beads work well with single needle ladder, advanced herringbone, peyote and square stitches. Other varieties of the CzechMates™ Tile bead exist. Miyuki, a Japanese seed bead manufacturer, produced a similar seed bead version. The manufacturing techniques differ tremendously where seed bead tiles, aka Tila beads, are drawn from molten glass into rods and then cut. CzechMates™
are INDIVIDUALLY PRESSED FROM MOLDS CREATING PERFECT CONSISTENCY and a softer pillow-like shape. When the two types are compared side-by-side in many patterns, the inherent beauty and adaptability of the CzechMates™ is readily apparent.
TWO-HOLE BEADS WERE WIDELY USED UNTIL THE LATE 1930s when the Great Depression and World War II
had an effect on supply. Our factory, a former Jablonex supplier,
ramped up production on these increasingly popular beads and the
FIRST SHIPMENTS ARE IN AND THEY’RE GOING FAST.
