APLICACIÓN DE
LAS TIC´S EN LA
EDUCACIÓN
¿HERRAMIENTA O
herramientas Auto-Educativas-
Evaluativas (Daypo, ThatQuiz, Google
Docs.) Didácticas (JClic, Moodle) ,
Multimedia (Libros digitales, Canal
demoroso y costos
Segundo Factor: El no definir objetivos
laboratorios respectivamente. Utilizar las
tic´s es involucrarse directamente en la
investigación, creación e innovación de
recursos que permitan al alumno
complementar el conocimiento teórico
ayudado de recursos tecnológicos, que
incorporen nuevas metodologías al proceso
enseñanza – aprendizaje.

ALIMENTOS
ANCESTRALES
En tiempos actuales es muy común
ver en la humanidad una premura o
rapidez para obtener resultados
inmediatos, queremos todo
instantáneamente o lo queremos más
rápido de lo que imaginamos, por
ejemplo: queremos comunicación más
veloz, deseamos viajar en menor
tiempo a otra ciudad o país, curarnos
platillos.
Las nuevas generaciones se
alimentan generalmente de
salchipapas, hamburguesas, frituras,
pizzas, pinchos, y una serie de
“golosinas” o como lo llaman algunos
estudiosos comida basura1
(La comida basura o comida
chatarra, esta última denominación,
empleada en Chile, Colombia,
México, Argentina y Uruguay, es
traducción literal del término en
inglés junk food contiene, por lo
general, altos niveles
de grasas, sal, condimentos o azúcare
s).
1 http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comida_basura
Fecha de consulta: 10 de marzo de 2015.
El motivo de este fenómeno se
evidencia en todas partes y se deriva
porque vivimos en un mundo
acelerado y donde los resultados
deben ser inmediatos; en muchos
hogares ecuatorianos donde el
sustento familiar obliga a padre y
madre a trabajar y pasar menos
tiempo en casa, los hábitos
alimenticios de nuestros niños,
jóvenes y adultos han cambiado.
Pero ¿por qué motivar a comer más
saludable? ¿Qué debería motivarnos a
comer como lo hacían nuestros
abuelos? ¿Por qué dejar de comer
comida chatarra?
La respuesta a estas interrogantes se
resume en que las costumbres
alimenticias de nuestros abuelos
contienen muchos productos que
estuvieron antes de la llegada de los
ibéricos, son productos que encierran
nuestras costumbres y tradiciones,
hambrunas.
Comer un locro de papas, un molo,
papas con cuero, papas con mellocos,
habas con queso, degustar el maíz en
todas sus variantes, choclo, tostado,
chulpi, canguil, comer chochos con
tostado, capulí, redescubrir platos
como el jucho, tamales, quimbolitos,
humitas, chapo, timbushca, nos debe
motivar a alimentarnos bien, mejor y
saludablemente, nos ayudaría a
evitar problemas de obesidad desde
los niños ya que los bares de los
establecimientos educativos tendrían
variedad si se apropiaran de estos
alimentos ancestrales y la variedad
de recetas para su preparación, y
sobre todo si volvemos a degustar
estos manjares estaríamos
rememorando a nuestros antiguos y

docente".

propia lengua, permiten activar
individuo logre funcionalidad comunicativa
en diferentes registros (formal, informal,
académico, técnico, entre otros.) y en
diferentes ámbitos (familiar, académico,
laboral, social, entre otros.)
En consecuencia aprender lingüística es
conocer la estructura gramatical de una
lengua, la misma que tiene cuatro aspectos
generales que constituyen las macro
destrezas: escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir,
generar ideas, organizarlas y jerarquizarlas.
El acercamiento a la lengua y a las otras
formas del lenguaje se tomará como una
realización práctica y creativa que le
permitirá hacer de la lengua en todas sus
manifestaciones una herramienta de
descubrimiento: preguntar, responder,
informar, ordenar, prohibir, aprehender,
conceptualizar, imaginar, crear y
comunicar.

LOMA GRANDE
RELIQUIA

productivos.
Es así como un grupo de mujeres
guayaquileñas orgullosamente
emprendedoras, luego de recibir
capacitaciones en: capitalización,
investigación de mercado, plan de negocios,
desarrollo de productos, estrategia de ventas
y disposiciones legales tributarias vigentes,
mujeres alcanzaron resultados positivos,
siendo un referente para nuestra sociedad.
La Administración de Negocios y Gestión
del Emprendimiento está diseñada para
aquellas personas que tienen un espíritu
innovador, de crecimiento, y quieren
desarrollar o gestionar su negocio de manera
exitosa. Un administrador del
emprendimiento tiene las competencias
necesarias para generar proyectos y negocios
innovadores, sostenibles y rentables.
En conclusión los estudiantes de
bachillerato estarán en capacidad de
realizar proyectos en base a nuevos
emprendimientos productivos que permita
el desarrollo socioeconómico de la sociedad.

WHY LEARN
ENGLISH
As a young adult preparing to enter the
professional world upon graduation, the
ability to speak a second language is a great
skill. From social media to participating in
a globalized economy, interconnectedness is
rapidly becoming one of the defining
characteristics of the 21st century, and by
speaking another language, you will be able
to access and interact with more
communities than you would as a
monolingual speaker. To a potential
employer, your ability to communicate with
manufacturers in Asia or target Spanish-
speaking demographics here in the United
States is a valuable asset.
For certain majors and related career paths,
bilingualism is a no-brainer. However, even
if you aren’t a political science major
specializing in Russia and the former
Soviet Union, it’s very likely that a second
language will still come in handy. In the
United States, the need for Spanish
speakers is quite strong in the
communications and media industries.
How Speaking A Second Language Can
Help Your Career
WPP, one of the world’s largest advertising
companies, has an agency dedicated solely to
creating advertising campaigns tailored to
Hispanic people. Fox launched
MundoFox, a Spanish-language network,
nationally this past August. As a
communications major, solid Spanish-
speaking skills can lead to opportunities
with companies eager to expand their reach
by developing products that appeal to
Hispanic people.
Speaking another language can also be
beneficial in the liberal arts, such as
literature and art history. As a literature
major, having a second major in another
language can help you obtain a position at a
publishing house as a translator, thus
enabling you to enjoy work in a writer’s
native tongue and challenging you to help
communicate the author’s sentiments to an
English-speaking audience.
For art history students, proficiency in a
second language not only enhances your
studies while conducting research into
primary sources, it also gives you a leg up
when applying for jobs at art magazines,
galleries and museums. Language provides
direct access to culture, so the ability to
speak another language exposes you to
otherwise inaccessible insights and fleshes
out your understanding of a writer’s or an
artist’s work. Obviously, if you want to work
as a translator at Random House or as a
research associate in an international
department at the Council of Foreign
Relations, you should be proficient, if not
fluent, in your second language. For other
positions, conversational speaking skills are
perfectly fine. For students, this means that
while pursuing a double major in your
main area of focus as well as a second
language would be ideal (get your money’s
worth).
If you can’t fit the extra courses and
workload into your schedule, don’t worry! A
minor can still help you sharpen your
speaking, reading and writing skills. You
can also look into the study-abroad
programs offered in your major’s
department and see if there are any
programs in countries where you can further
cultivate your language skills. Joining
relevant language and culture groups on
campus can also help you work on your
speech outside of the classroom.
For companies that regularly deal with
international clients, bilingualism is an
extremely attractive trait in a candidate.
They like having an employee on hand who
can engage clients with relative ease.
Bilingualism also appeals to companies
interested in entering new markets, which is
becoming increasingly common in this age
of start-ups. Simply put, speaking a second
language can help your resume stand out in
a sea of qualified applicants.
Why learn English?
Learning to speak English well may be the
best thing you can do to improve your life.
That’s right. Do you think it would be fun
to have access to information that other
people can’t get? Talk and write letters to
interesting people that others can’t
communicate with? Impress people around
you whenever you opened your mouth?
Make big jumps in your career, leaving
others miles behind?
You can get all this if you speak English
well.
Get access to knowledge
What are you interested in? Is it science?
Music? Computers? Health? Business?
Sports? Today’s media — such as the
Internet, television, and the press — give
you almost unlimited access to knowledge
about your favorite subjects. After all, we
live in the information age, don’t we?
There’s only one problem. Most of this
knowledge is in English.
Here are some examples of knowledge you
can use if you know English:
• Most pages on the Web. That’s over
a billion (1,000,000,000) pages of
information! It’s amazing that learning
just one language gives you access to almost
all knowledge on the Internet.
• Books — on any subject, from all
over the world. Read books by British or
American authors, and books translated
from other languages. Whatever you’re
interested in, you can read about it in
English!
• The press. Only English-language
magazines and newspapers can be bought in
every part of the world. You don’t have to
search forTime, Newsweek or the
International Herald Tribune.
• Science. English is the key to the
world of science. In 1997, 95% of the
articles in the Science Citation Index were
written in English. Only about 50% of them
were from English-speaking countries like
the USA or Britain. (source)
• News reports. Watch international
television networks, such as CNN
International and NBC. They broadcast
news much faster, and more professionally,
than smaller, national networks. And you
can watch them everywhere in the world.
Communicate with people
We like to call English “the language of
communication”. Why? Because it seems
all the people in the world have agreed to use
English to talk to each other.
• About 1,500,000,000 people in the
world speak English. Another
1,000,000,000 are learning it. (source)
• 75% of the world’s letters and
postcards are written in English. (source)
• Almost all international conferences
and competitions are conducted in English.
For example, the Olympics and the Miss
World contest.
• Diplomats and politicians from
different countries use English to
communicate with each other. English is the
main language of organizations like the
United Nations, NATO, and the European
Free Trade Association.
If you can communicate in English, you
can:
• Contact people from all over the
world. Talk about your ideas and opinions
on Internet discussion groups. Send e-mail
to interesting people. Learn about their life
and culture.
• Travel more easily. Communicate
with people wherever you go — English is
spoken in more than 100 countries
(source). Ask directions, have a
conversation, or... ask for help. Who knows,
maybe English will save your life someday!
Push your career forward
If you want a good job in business,
technology, or science, get out of that
armchair and start learning English now!
(If you already have a good job, start
learning before you lose it!)
Knowing English will let you:
• Put “excellent knowledge of
English” on your CV. Get your dream job,
and earn more money.
• Gain technical knowledge. English
is the language of technology, especially high
technology like computer science, genetics,
and medicine. If you’re going to read about
technology, you’ll probably have to do it in
English.
• Learn computer science. Read
technical articles without difficulty. Or
write your own articles!
• Be a world-class businessman (or -
woman). It’s simple. International
business is done in English. And all
business today is international. So if you
want to play, you have to know English —
to contact other businesspeople, go to
conferences, read international business
newspapers and magazines, etc.
• Become a better scientist. Contact
scientists from other countries, go to
international conferences, visit academic
centers abroad. Learn about new scientific
discoveries by reading papers, books, and
magazines.
• Use your computer more effectively.
Most computer applications are in English,
so you will understand them better — and
become a better employee.
• Learn new skills for your job. The
section “Get access to knowledge” explains
how English helps you learn.
Enjoy art like never before
English lets you feel the culture of the world
like no other language. With a good
knowledge of the English language, you can
do wonderful things:
• Watch American and British films
in the original. Once you try it, you’ll never
go back to dubbed versions!
• Read great books. Every famous
book was written in English or it was
translated into English. There is an
amazing number of titles — from classic
plays like Hamlet to modern thrillers like
Jurassic Park.
• Enjoy English-language music
more. Believe us: music is much better if
you can understand the words.
English is easy to learn
English is not only the most useful language
in the world. It is also one of the easiest
languages to learn and to use:
• Simple alphabet — no special
symbols such as é or ä. Type in sweet, part,
film on your computer. Now try süß
(German), część (Polish), фильм
(Russian). Which is easier?
• Easy plurals — simply add s to a
word. One car, five cars; one telephone, two
telephones... There are very few exceptions.
• Words are easy to learn. In French,
it’s la fille and le chien. In German, it’s das
Mädchen and der Hund. In English,
they’re just a girl and a dog. And that’s all
you need to know.
• Short words. Most of the basic words
are short: run, work, big, go, man. Long
words are often shortened: sitcom =
situational comedy, fridge = refrigerator,
OS = operating system. Speaking English
saves you time. :-)
• Words don’t change. But in many
languages, one word has many forms:
English: The man is blind.
German: Der Mann ist blind.
English: This is a blind man.
German: Das ist ein blinder Mann.
English: I see a blind man.
German: Ich sehe einen blinden Mann.
• Call everybody “you”. You can say
“Do you speak English?” to your friend or
to your teacher. In other languages, you
have to use the right word for the right
person. In English, everybody is equal. :-)
• English is everywhere. You can
easily access English-language television,
music, websites, magazines, etc. You don’t
have to learn from boring textbooks. You
can learn and use your English at the same
time. Using your English is especially
important because it increases your desire to
learn.
Get satisfaction
English is not only useful — it gives you a
lot of satisfaction:
• Making progress feels great. We’ll
never forget the moment we discovered we
could speak with Americans or watch TV
in English.
• You will enjoy learning English, if
you remember that every hour you spend gets
you closer to perfection.
• Using English is fun, too, because
every sentence you speak or write reminds
you of your success.
English makes you a more powerful,
happier person. It is not difficult to
imagine some situations where knowing
English gives you a great feeling.
We hope that, with our help, your progress
in English will soon give you a lot of
satisfaction, too. Many people have followed
our methods and watched their “English
power” grow very quickly. You can read
about some of these people in the “Learner
reports” section.
How to learn English
A guide to learning English* really well
In today’s world, hundreds of millions of
people want to learn English. Most of them
sign up for English classes. Unfortunately,
typical English classes are not an effective
way to learn English. They produce very
slow progress, espe¬cially after you reach
the interme-diate level. Most learners, after
years of attending classes, cannot speak
English without making a lot of mistakes in
grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
I believe that if you want to learn English
well, you cannot wait for your teacher to put
knowledge into your head. You have to take
charge of your learning. This guide shows
you how you can do it in a fun and effective
way.
My name is Tomasz P. Szynalski. My
friend Michal R. Wojcik and I taught
ourselves to speak English fluently with
some unusual learning tech¬niques. In
2001, we started Antimoon with one goal: to
show other people how they can do the same.
(Read more about who we are and why you
can trust our advice.)
1. Motivation ~Become a person who
likes to learn English.
2. Dictionary ~Get a good English
dictionary and use it all the time.
3. No mistakes ~Avoid mistakes. Try
to use correct English from the beginning.
4. Pronunciation ~Learn to pronounce
English sounds. Learn to pay attention to
the pronunciation of English words.
Practice from time to time.
5. Input ~Get English into your head
by reading and listening to lots of English
sentences. This is the most important part!
6. SRS ~Get an SRS application.
Add English words and phrases to it. Use it
regularly.
Why we don’t like English classes
English classes are the most popular way in
which people study English. They are so
amazingly popular that most people do not
even think about how to learn English. The
process is automatic: I want to learn
English, so I sign up for an English course.
I will pay some money, sit in class for a few
hours a week, and I will get good English.
This is very surprising, because English
classes are a very poor way of learning
English.. We have spent a large part of our
lives in English classes (in high school,
college, and at language schools), and we
know what they are like. With all our
knowledge of English classes and courses,
we would be surprised if we met a person
who has learned to speak English very well
by going to English classes.
If you attend English classes, you spend
many hours a week on them. Often, you also
spend lots of your money. What do you get
for your time and money? Here is what you
can do at an English class:
• Listen to some bad English. The
pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary of
other students (and sometimes the teacher,
too) will be bad. Sometimes as bad as this,
or worse. Surely listening to these people
will not make your English better.
• Say five sentences in English. There
are usually 10-20 students in the class, so
there is little time for you to speak English.
Normal English classes are very poor
speaking practice. (Conversation classes are
better.)
• Read a boring textbook. Almost all
English teachers use textbooks. Want to
know why? Because it makes their work
easier. They don’t have to prepare for every
class. They just do the next unit in the book.
Textbooks make teaching easy. And they
make learning boring and ineffective. You
have to read stupid stories about Michael
Jackson or a woman who lived in African
jungle for two years. Then you have to
answer questions about them and talk about
them with other students. This is madness!
All this nonsense that you don’t care about.
It makes you think that learning English is
boring.
• Listen to a few grammar rules, such
as “the present continuous tense is used for
talking about developing and changing
situations”. Learning grammar rules is the
stupidest thing you can do. The two main
reasons: 1) It is impossible to memorize all
those hundreds of grammar rules anyway,
2) When speaking English, you don’t have
time to think: “What tense should I use?
Let’s see... I want to present the idea of
action continuing up to the present time, so
I should use the present perfect tense.” You
want to use your English naturally.
Grammar rules may improve your scores in
tests, but they do not improve your English.
• Do some grammar exercises. After
talking about grammar rules, teachers
usually give you some exercises, such as
multiple choice or gap filling tests.
Grammar exercises have two functions: 1)
they make you review the grammar rules, 2)
they test your English. The first function is
useless because grammar rules are useless
(see previous section). The second function,
testing, is okay if you want to compare your
knowledge with other people. But testing
does not teach you any English.
• Get a homework assignment. The
homework is usually a grammar exercise
(see previous section) or a composition.
The subject of the composition will usually
be something that you don’t care about.
Examples: Your opinion on the proverb
“Blood is thicker than water”, Is it good to
be famous?. What nonsense. Doing boring
things is not going to help your English. It
will only decrease your motivation.
English classes will not teach you good
pronunciation (which is simply necessary
for communication!). Most teachers
completely ignore it, sometimes because their
own pronunciation is bad. Some teachers
will correct your mistakes when you speak.
But very few teachers will tell you how you
can avoid making the same mistakes again.
Very few teachers will tell you about the
sounds of English and how to use a
dictionary to learn about the pronunciation
of words.
Most teachers will not encourage you to read
in English, to buy a good English-English
dictionary, to listen to English-language
recordings on your own. They will just do
their textbook and the exercises in it. If your
teacher is different, you are lucky.
This is what most English classes look like.
Think about your classes. If they are like
that — boring and ineffective — then you
are simply wasting your time. (Don’t
worry: you are not alone. Millions of people
around the world waste their time by going
to English classes, even though they do not
improve their English.)
You can replace ineffective and boring
classes with interesting things which will
really improve your English:
• Instead of listening to bad English
in the classroom, turn on your TV and
watch CNN International or another
English-language channel. You will get lots
of perfect sentences in excellent English.
• Instead of sitting for two hours to
say five sentences in English, sign up for a
conversation class with a native speaker. Or
start speaking English with your best
friend.
• Instead of working with a boring
textbook, read something interesting. There
are so many interesting texts in English!
Surf to English-language sites on the Web.
Read a good book in English. Simply, read
something that interests you. Something that
won’t bore you to death.
• Instead of memorizing grammar
rules and doing grammar exercises, read
and listen to English. Input is the only way
to learn impressive, natural English.
• Instead of writing compositions
about the subject that your teacher gave you,
write about something that you care about.
For example, write some e-mail in English.
Don’t write for your teacher — write for
yourself!
“The best way to learn a foreign language is
to speak it”
This is probably the most frequently
repeated piece of advice for language
learners. You will hear it from teachers,
webmasters of ESL sites, and people in the
Antimoon Forum (e.g. see Jeff Hook’s
posts in this discussion).
For most language teachers, the goal is to
have you talking as early as possible and as
much as possible. They believe that they
should be quiet during their classes, while
their students should have the opportunity to
speak.
Fact:
Speaking is imitation. When you speak
your native language, you don’t make up
your own grammar, vocabulary and
pronunciation. You use the same grammar,
vocabulary and pronunciation as people
around you.
Similarly, when trying to speak a foreign
language, your goal is to imitate the
grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation of
native speakers, so that your way of
speaking is correct and natural.
It’s pretty obvious that, in order to talk like
the native speakers, you have to listen to the
things they say and read the things they
write. When you do so, you learn new words
and grammar structures that you can use to
express your thoughts. As a result, it
becomes easier and easier for you to build
your own sentences in the foreign language.
By contrast, if you follow the popular advice
and concentrate on speaking rather than
listening and reading, you will learn few
new words and structures and, like so many
learners, will be stuck with your limited
vocabulary and grammar. It will always be
hard for you to express your thoughts in the
foreign language.
Benefits of speaking
While speaking practice does not develop
your vocabulary or grammar, it does offer a
few important benefits:
• It helps improve your fluency
(moves your knowledge of grammar,
vocabulary, and pronunciation from your
“slow memory” to your “quick memory” —
however, first you must put something in
your “slow memory” through input)
• Communicating in a foreign
language is quite exciting and motivates you
to keep learning
• It helps expose gaps in your
vocabulary and grammar (shows you what
you don’t know and encourages you to look
it up)
What you should do ?
• If you don’t know how to begin your
sentence, even after thinking for a while,
• If you stop in the middle of a
sentence, and can’t continue because you
don’t know a word,
• If you produce awkward-sounding
sentences because you don’t know how to say
something in a natural way,
• If you often make mistakes and are
not aware of it,
...you need more input, not more speaking
practice. Such problems show that you
simply don’t know how to say certain things
in the language, and should look at how
native speakers say them. More speaking
will not improve your vocabulary and
grammar; actually, it can make things
worse.
From the very beginning, you should spend
all of your time on reading and listening
(thus acquiring the necessary vocabulary
and grammar) until you can write a few
simple — but 100% correct — sentences in
the language. For example, you can start by
writing an e-mail message to someone who
speaks the language. (It doesn’t matter how
long it takes you to write that message. It
may be two hours, if you have that kind of
patience.)
At the same time, you should study the
phonetics of the language, practice
pronouncing its sounds, and learn the
pronunciations of words.
Then, you should continue getting input
and writing until you can produce simple
and correct sentences without consulting the
dictionary or the Web. This is when you
should start speaking — again, slowly and
carefully. However, you should still spend
most of your time on reading and listening,
because input is the only way to develop
your vocabulary and grammar.
