COVID 19 “Best Practice”

1. There will be numerous signs detailing which entrance/exit, traffic flow,

water bottles and etc.

2. As an exhibitor if you are not comfortable with the “best practice” per The State

of Tennessee and/or AKC being implemented to make the show safe, “DO NOT

COME!!!”

3. Anyone who enters the show before the deadline, September 23, 2020 acknowl-

edges they have not been exposed to anyone with the COVID-19 virus within the

last two weeks.

4. Anyone who attends the show on October 7-11 2020, acknowledges they have not

been exposed to anyone within the last two weeks with the COVID-19 virus.

5. If you feel sick with any type of symptoms within 24 hours of the show, “DO NOT

COME.”

6. The Farm Bureau Expo Center will have two entrances and two exits (marked for

exhibitors only) for the show. Each person will have their temperature tested be-

fore entering and will be given an wrist band indicating they have been tested and

found to not have a temperature.

7. Anyone who has a temperature greater than 100 degrees will not be al-

lowed to show and will be asked to leave the show grounds.

The requirements for COVID-19 continuously changes in Tennessee,

therefore, please visit our website (tristarkennelclub.org) or Facebook for

the most recent info regarding “best practices.”

We will publish any changes in the judging program.

1. Everyone will be required to wear a mask (cloth, paper, or clear) inside the

building except when in the ring when they are running their dogs.

2. There will be multiple hand sanitizing stations inside/outside the show where

people can wash their hands.

3. There will be stations with water bottles available for exhibitors

4. All exhibitors need to avoid shaking hands, hugging, or any type of physical con-

tact and if possible wear plastic gloves but it is not required.

5. There will be at least ten feet between each ring.

6. The rings will have an entrance and exit with ribbons being placed on a table at

the exit.

7. There will be a table for picking up your armband/rubber bands with a catalog to

view. The ring steward will not be handing out armbands and will not be sharing

their pens or catalog

8. Judges will either wear cloth or plastic mask.

9. Tri-Star Kennel Club will not furnish any mask to exhibitors, therefore, please

provide your own.

10. When observing your breed showing, please wear a mask and be six feet away

from your competition and from the ring. When your breed judging is completed,

it is highly recommended to leave the show building as soon as possible. There

will be no indoor grooming in the Farm Bureau Exposition Center, nor any

community grooming. It will be highly encouraged for exhibitors to consider

grooming at their RV location or parking area to help with the state’s social dis-

tancing requirements.

11. There will be multiple staging areas in the Expo Center for crating dogs to be

shown, must be removed from the area after breed and there will be no groom-

ing allowed.

12. No dogs are to be left in the building overnight.

NOTICE: ANYONE WHO ATTENDS THESE SHOWS MUST SIGN THIS FORM – NO EXCEPTIONS.

THIS IS FOR EXHIBITORS, OWNERS, HANDLERS, BREEDERS, ASSISTANTS, FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS, ETC. IF YOU ARE ON THE GROUNDS, THIS FORM MUST BE ON FILE. THIS ALSO INCLUDES MINOR CHILDREN UNDER 18 YRS.

I fully attest to the best of my knowledge that I do not have COVID-19 at the time of attending this event. I also attest that I have NOT been in contact with or exposed to any known carrier of COVID-19 within the past 14 days. I agree that I am attending the ORKC Dog Shows, Specialties, TSKCWCT Dog Shows event entirely at my own risk and take full responsibility for my own health and safety during this event. I will follow all American Kennel Club (AKC), ORKC, TSKCWCT and club rules, requirements, proce-dures, protocols and guidelines to reduce any exposure and possibility of contracting or spreading the virus. I will also follow CDC, Federal, State of Tennessee and Wilson County Exposition Center guidelines regarding COVID-19.

RV & Overnight Parking/Camping

All Camping & RV Parking will be allowed in designated areas only as per Fairgrounds guidelines. All parking regulations will be strictly enforced. Violators will be asked to move or their vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense! The Fairgrounds has dump sites for motorhomes. No open dumping. There are plenty of restrooms with showers at the fairgrounds. All exhibitors parking or camping are required to clean up after themselves & their dogs.

The Tri-Star Kennel Club of Williamson County, TN, Members, Directors, Officers, Agents, Superintendent and/or employees of Wilson County will not be liable for any loss or injury which may be sustained through the disappearance, loss, theft, injury and/or death that are caused by the negligence or carelessness of the individual person. Tri-Star Kennel Club of Williamson County, TN, Members, Directors, Officers, Agents, Superintendent and/or employees of Wilson County will not be responsible for negligence by any person(s) or by any other causes.

Attention Exhibitors We would like this event to be a pleasant experience for all in attendance. We ask for your coopera-tion please in the following areas.

Participants shall be governed by any rules and regulations or civil authorities and/or location re-strictions. Please obey all posted signs.

Parents/guardians must be responsible for children. Children must be kept under supervision of an adult at all times.

Participants who leave dogs, equipment & personal belongings unattended, do so at their own risk. The Oak Ridge Kennel Club and the owners of the site will not be responsible for dogs, equipment or personal belongings, nor for the loss or damage to, or death of any dog whether the result of acci-dent or any other cause.

No ALCOHOL shall be permitted anywhere on the premises or grounds, and NO SMOKING will be permitted in any event area; barns, buildings, bathrooms, etc. Please respect the site.

All dogs must be kept on leash at all times, except when competing. DOGS (even on leash) are not permitted in the concessions area. No FLEXI-LEADS allowed in buildings.

We expect each and everyone to observe good housekeeping practices & reserve the right to ask anyone who does not adhere to this request to leave. There will be plastic bags and trash cans sup-plied. Please help us keep this site clean so we can return next year. Trophies that are not claimed by the end of Best in Show on October 8th will become the property of the Oak Ridge Kennel Club, Inc. unless other arrangements are made prior to the show.

Oak Ridge Kennel Club reserves the right to substitute any unavailable trophy with one of equal value. Trophy cards will be given to the individual handling the dog in the ring. Trophies may be obtained at the trophy table prior to Best in Show Judging. All trophies must be picked up before Best in Show judging each day. None will be mailed. Trophies that are not claimed by the end of Best in Show on October 8th will become the property of the Oak Ridge Kennel Club, Inc. unless other arrangements are made prior to the show.

This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION Novice Junior 9 & under 12 yrs • Open Junior 9 & under 12 yrs

Novice Intermediate 12 & under 15 yrs • Open Intermediate 12 & under 15 yrs Novice Senior 15 & under 18 yrs • Open Senior 15 & under 18 yrs

Master Class Novice Class - shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class. A first place in Novice without competition leading to a Best Junior award with competition would count as one win towards moving to Open at a licensed or member show. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after the closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. Open Class - shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice Class or if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open in a licensed or member show. Master Class - will be for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and must change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.

No entry may be changed or cancelled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing by the Superintendent or Show Secretary named in the premium list to receive entries, prior to the closing date and hour for entries, except that a correction may be made from one age division to another, as well as, move from Master to Open or Open to Novice if a win has been disallowed or the Junior miscalculated number of placements, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Depart-ment (919) 233-9767.

Miscellaneous Breeds There will be Puppy, Bred By Exhibitor, & Open Classes for each of the Miscellaneous Breeds in each sex.

Winners from these classes will compete for Best of Breed & Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed in each breed. Each Miscellaneous Best of Breed winner shall be eligible to compete for Best in Miscellane-ous Class. All entries for Best in Miscellaneous Class shall be made after judging of the individual Miscel-laneous breed classes. In the event that the owner of a dog designated Best of Breed shall not exhibit the dog in the Best of Miscellaneous Class Competition, no other dog of the same breed shall be allowed to compete. There shall be no further competition for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class. Ribbons shall conform to Chapter 5, Section 2 of AKC Rules.

USE OF RAMPS A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table, or ramp). At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Lagotto Romagnolo, Retrievers (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling, Spaniels (American Water), Spaniels (English Springer), Spaniels (Field), Spaniels (Welsh Springer), Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen, Standard Schnauzers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terrier, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Finnish Spitz, Entlebucher Mountain Dog, Finnish Lapphund, Icelandic Sheepdogs, Norwegian Buhund, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, Spanish Water Dogs, Norrbottenspets (Misc). At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp, or on a table: Spaniels (Boykin) and Whippets. At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the a ramp, or on a table: Mudi (Misc). The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Spaniels (Clumber), Spaniels (Sussex), Basset Hounds, Cirneco dell'Etna, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, and Keeshonden. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. In emergency situations where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. For the judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breeds.

CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTER-NATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS.

A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.50 AKC Recording Fee will be required for the first entry in Rally and $3.00 for each additional entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 5). A $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy. $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in FSS Open Shows. These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.

RETURNED CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry. The Superintendent will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check and credit card. Subsequent returned checks and credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a cash-only basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.

No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturb-ances, fire, extreme and or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent.

No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.

Refunds made for cancellation of entries before the closing date will be subject to a $3.00 administrative/processing fee per entry.

No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable.

Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.

The show giving club, the Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. PUBLICATION RIGHTS By entering this show, all owners, handlers, breeders and kennels agree that all rights to televise, videotape, photograph, advertise, promote and publicize or otherwise exploit this show, or the persons or animals participating in it or the results of the competition before, during or after the event, shall belong solely to The American Kennel Club and their respective assigns, including the use of the names, likenesses or biographical matter of all dogs, owners, handlers, breeders and kennels participating in the show and no such owner, handler, breeder or kennel shall allow any other party to make commercial use of any videotape or photograph of any person or animal participating in this competition.

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. INSTRUCTIONS

1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the partic-ular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certifi-cate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)

5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience. and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog “All American Dog/Mixed Breed.” Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
