Modular Bathroom Project Update
• Requests have been made to improve restroom access to Monte
Vista Elementary School o Current status of site is in compliance,
but additional need has
been established
• Planning & Development staff met with site staff and
District Administrators o Staff walked the site and discussed
possible locations for a portable
restroom building near the current bungalows

Improvements at Monte Vista Elementary
• Beautification project at the bungalow area o Painting of the
bungalows o Awning installation at classrooms 8110-8111 o Tree
planting in courtyard – completed o Installation of benches in
courtyard o Removal of grates from the windows of the bungalows –
completed
• Moving classrooms so that grade alike rooms are in close
proximity
• Installation of modular restroom building o Project has not
been finalized or approved by the Board

Installation of Modular Restroom
• A primary location was identified and is recommendedo Two
alternate locations are available
• Project is anticipated to take 6 to 12 months to be completed
from the time of Board approval
• 12’ x 40’ building will fit in the recommended location o Two
toilets, two urinals, and two sinks in boys sectiono Three toilets
and two sinks in girls section o One gender-neutral staff
restroom
• Cost is estimated to be approximately $205,000 to $255,000o To
be funded by Developer Fees funds
