Tailormade products for customers’ needs
Finex products are optimized for each customer’s needs and can be produced in a wide range of variations by adjusting the parameters, such as
• resin type
• mean particle size
• particle size distribution
• degree of crosslinkage
• ionic form
• cation/anion ratio in mixtures
Finex powdered resin mixtures for power plants
• Resins for condensate polishing in nuclear and conventional power plants
• Finex powdered resins are homogenous mixtures of strong cationic and anionic resins. Both are completely regenerated before size reduction so that the mixture is delivered ready to use.
• Powdered resins of Finex have low impurity content and good coating ability on candel filters.
• Finex produce powdered resins with various
cation-anion ratios to suit customers' wishes.

Main products
Powdered resins and precoat filtration
• Candel filters are coated with very thin layer of filter media (precoat)
• Suspension is pumped through the filter and filter media
• Solids/removed matters of the suspension are sticked into the precoat material
• Precoat material is changed when pressure drop becomes too high
Precoat technology
• In precoat filtration powdered resins work as both mechanical filter and as an ion exchanger. This quarantees very effective removal of corrosion products, ions and other impurities present in the condensate (even ppb level).
• Precoat filtration is effective way to clean high flow rate (over 1 ton/second) condensates
Precoat technology
• Particle diffusion depends on particle diameter – Smaller bead size, higher surface area, more rapid diffusion
• Compared to standard bead size
cation-anion resins, the kinetics of
powdered resin mixtures is
appr. 100 times faster.

Finex Indicator
• Finex indicator is typically a gel type strong acid cation exchanger. It is used in water quality control applications.
• In the manufacturing process, the resin is injected with special purple indicator dye which reacts to the acidity within the beads. When the resin is exhausted, pH rises and resin colour change from purple to yellow.
