Dear in Christ, faithful partners in the gospel, June 2016 Thank you very much for your faithful support and unceasing prayers for the gospel work in Myanmar especially through the ministry of Timothy Bible School & Seminary. In my previous newsletter, I had asked you to pray about the 7 th Biennial graduation (April 2, 2016), and the Lord enabled us to accomplish much. I, therefore, cannot wait to write my newsletter at this time because I have many things to share about God’s faithfulnesses (which is the evidence of your prayer support, too). In the last week of February, I preached from Judges 6:14 at the delegate meeting of the Evangelical Baptist Conference (which is the only fundamental group in the region and came into existence by preaching the gospel back in 1975). About 30 young people responded to the altar call and have gone out to many mission fields. I was privileged to dedicate the cornerstone of Akluai Village’s new church building, and to conduct the wedding of a couple from our church (pictured on right). During this school year, Mr. Gregory Paul Zern came to teach the students, which is a real encouragement to the students and staff. We were encouraged very much by his teaching in our school. By the way, please contact me if anyone of you is interested in teaching Bible and English. We appreciate your personal involvement and help in our school. The 7 th Biennial graduation of Timothy Bible School was graced by the presence of Rev. Bill Bowen (IPM International Representative) and Dr. & Mrs. David Peterson from First Baptist Church, Land O’ Lakes, FL. On March 31, we drove from Kalay Town (which has the only airport in the area) to Tedim Town (in the Chin State of Myanmar), where the school is. We appreciated your prayers which were answered as we traveled safely on the dangerous roads. We faced an unusual thunderstorm, heavy rain, bad fog, wind, and a landslide of rocks (both before and after we were forced to turn the car around on a precarious one lane road while we were at 7000 feet with a sheer cliff below). We slept in the car on that cold and windy night since driving further was impossible. We were thankful that the Lord answered our fervent prayers for safety and protection. We were truly and miraculously protected! The Lord helped us continue our journey the next day (April 1) and enabled us to have the Bible conference the same day, and the graduation on April 2. Rev. Bill Bowen conferred diplomas to the 36 graduating students, Dr. David Peterson gave the graduation message, and Mrs. Denise Peterson gave gifts to “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel.” (1 Corinthians 9:16) Rev .
