Our missionAt Pass IT On, we provide free adapted computer systems to people who are unable to access publicly available computers because of their disability or long-term health condition. We seek out the right equipment and software solutions to suit each individual’s needs and interests.

All the computers that we refurbish and adapt are donated to us, which saves resources and the environment.

Who do we help?We work with people of any age and with any disability, whether that is a physical or learning disability, a visual impairment, mental ill-health or a long-term health condition.

Our only criteria are that the person lives in the EH postcode area and the impairment or health condition makes it difficult or impossible for them to access a publicly available computer (for example in their local library).

How to get help from Pass IT OnAnyone who fits the criteria above can register to be assessed for a free adapted computer. All we require is confirmation of eligibility from a healthcare professional of their choice. You can find more information and register someone on our website. Alternatively please get in touch.

Can you help us? Pass IT On could not exist without support from others. There are lots of ways you can help:

Donate a PCAll the computers that we adapt are donated by individuals or organisations when they upgrade. To ensure our clients receive high quality equipment, we look for donations of laptops and computers that are typically only a few years old. Please get in touch and we’ll be happy to tell you whether we can use your machine .

Buy a low cost refurbished PC from usOne of the ways we fund our work is by selling surplus refurbished computers. They’re available to anyone – you do not have to have a disability to buy one. For more information, see our website or get in touch.

Donate moneyWe are always happy to receive financial donations. You can donate online via our website or contact us. Your contribution, small or large, will make a real d .

Become a volunteerPass IT On could not function without our volunteers. If you would like to get involved, please call or email our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Damian Czop, on [email protected]

We all know that computers are becoming more central to life in today’s society. At Pass IT On, we believe passionately that the benefits of digital technology should be accessible to everyone.

Life changing help for individuals and their carersFor some people these benefits can be even greater than for others. Being online can allow someone who is housebound to manage their banking, do their shopping independently or be connected to family and friends further afield. An accessible PC can allow someone who can’t use their arms to write a private letter, or someone who can’t speak to use it as their voice. It can help someone with a learning disability develop new skills.
