The Hopkins Fund
The Hopkins Fund (THF), the unrestricted current-use fund, provides
approximately $2 million annually for the Homewood undergraduate
experience
– Discretionary fund, allowing the Deans of the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences
and the Whiting School of Engineering to designate resources to the most
immediate needs
– Historic priority to support undergraduate financial aid
– Supports financial, academic, and social needs of undergraduate students
The Hopkins Fund is completely separate from the University’s
endowment
– The Hopkins Fund is like the University’s checking account; the
endowment is like a savings or retirement account.

Why do you “come back/give back” to Hopkins?
Remember why you are a volunteer!
Prepare for the Contact
• I am excited about Reunion 2013; hope to see you there.
• Share news about a classmate-friend you have in common.
• Discuss a recent Hopkins experience – club event, campus visit,
alumni gathering, or Johns Hopkins Magazine news item.
• Recall a shared Hopkins experience – an affinity group, sports team,
social event, or favorite professor.
Make a Hopkins
Connection
• I am so thankful for my Hopkins experience, so I'm giving back
through The Hopkins Fund.
• So many families are struggling with college costs, so I want to
support financial aid.
• Student clubs and organizations need a healthy Hopkins Fund to get
the most out of their college experience.
• Ask your classmate to support The Hopkins Fund, too. Remember,
any gift to any area of JHU counts!
