Page 3: Resurrection

Romans 6:5

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection

Page 4: Resurrection

Romans 8:10-11 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of

sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from

the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Romans 6:5For if we have been planted together in the

likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Philippians 3:21Who shall change our vile body, that it may be

fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1 John 3:2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not

yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Col 3:4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall

ye also appear with him in glory.

2 Resurrections

Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow,

that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the

resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Daniel 12:2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,

some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

The 2nd Resurrection

Revelation 20:4-54 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and

judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 (But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.) This is the first resurrection.

Page 8: Resurrection

Revelation 20:11-1411 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it,

from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (1 Timothy 5:6)

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Page 9: Resurrection

1st Resurrection1. Jesus Christ (the “first fruits,” 1 Corinthians 15:20

Mat. 27:52-53), paved the way for the resurrection of all who believe in Him. There was a resurrection of the Jerusalem saints which should be included

2. Still to come are the resurrection of “the dead in Christ” at the Lord’s return (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

3. The resurrection of the Tribulation saints. (Mat. 5:8,22:10-11,24:31, 25:1-13, Rev. 12:17, Luke 12:36)

Page 10: Resurrection

1 Corinthians 1520 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits

of them that slept.23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward

they that are Christ's at his coming.24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down

all rule and all authority and power.37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall

be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed

Firstfruits

1 Corinthians 15:2020 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and

become the firstfruits of them that slept.Romans 8:23

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Why is First fruit offering important?Romans 11:16 (Ezek. 44:30)

For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

John 10:15-16

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Church-age Rapture

• One Chaste virgin (2 Cor. 11:2)• Called up before the mark of the beast (Rev.

14:9-10)• By a voice that sounds like a trumpet (1 Thes.

4:16)• The voice sounds like thunder to anyone God

is not talking to (Ex. 19:16,18 John 12:28-30 Job 37:1-5)

Page 19: Resurrection

• Every saint in the Bride is called by name (John 10:3)

• Then is first lead out (exodus) from the world system (John 10:3)

• Then later brought back to earth behind their shepherd (John 10:4)

Page 20: Resurrection

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Page 21: Resurrection

Revelation 6:17For the great day of his wrath is come; and who

shall be able to stand?1 Thessalonians 1:10

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Page 22: Resurrection

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but

to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Page 23: Resurrection

The final stage of the 1st Resurrection

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and

went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Page 24: Resurrection

Isaiah 2421 And it shall come to pass in that day, that

the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

Page 25: Resurrection

Isaiah 24

13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of

an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

Page 26: Resurrection

Jeremiah 6

O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.

9 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grape gatherer into the baskets.

Page 27: Resurrection

If these people in the tribulation are a "remnant", then that tells you that there

was a harvest prior to this time. By definition, you cannot have a remnant

unless these are "the remaining people, the rest."

Page 28: Resurrection

Revelation 14:15-16

15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

Page 29: Resurrection

Isaiah 17:5-6

5 And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.

6 Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.

Page 30: Resurrection

Isaiah 26:20-21

20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Page 31: Resurrection

James 5:7

7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Page 32: Resurrection

Mat. 13:24-30,38-39

but gather the wheat into my barn.38 The field is the world; the good seed are the

children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Page 33: Resurrection

Trib. RaptureRev. 14:15-16

15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest (end of the world ) of the earth is ripe.

16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

Page 34: Resurrection

2nd AdventRevelation 14:17-18

17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

Page 35: Resurrection

Deuteronomy 32:31-32

31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:

Page 36: Resurrection

In Revelation 14:15–16 a sickle is put into the “harvest of the earth,” like a wheat crop. The

grain is harvested and reaped for God and put into the barn (Deut. 16:9; Isa. 17:6; Matt. 13:39; James 5:7), but here in Revelation

14:18–19, we find something that has incurred the wrath of God, and God wishes it to be

destroyed ;

Page 37: Resurrection

it is called the “vine of the earth.” It is not “gathered into the barn,” but it is cast into

“the winepress of God,” and then it is stamped on until blood comes out of it three feet high for a space of about 160 miles! (This shows us clearly that the Second Advent is found in Rev. 14:18–19, while a post Tribulation Rapture is

found in Rev. 14:15-16
