Por eso es que estamos bendecidos con un número significante de bau mos en nuestras parroquias en forma regular. Por lo tanto este es el empo justo para empujar el trabajo misionero proveyendo personal y recursos. El plan coopera vo misionero es una im-portante forma de que ustedes nos ayuden a la directa evangelización de los no-católicos, la formación de la fe de adultos, educación de los niños es nuestras escuelas católicas, proveyendo un ministerio de sanación a través del apostolado médico y le-vantando la calidad de vida de la población a través de proyectos de autoayuda en las aldeas rurales. The Diocese of Kohima, Nagaland, Northeast India Diocese of Kohima is part of the great mission legacy of Northeast India, the land of different tribes and tongues, cultures and cus-toms. Today Kohima (comprising the whole State of Nagaland) is the most flourishing and vibrant mission territory in India. From a few hundred Catholics 50 years ago, the number of Catholics has now crossed over 60,000 – thanks to the un ring work of mission-ary priests, religious and laity. The faith is growing steadily and we need to keep up the momen-tum. Any opportunity missed is a chance lost forever. In our tribal set up if we fail to respond posi vely to their interest and seeking, they would turn back, never to return. In the present me the peo-ple are well disposed and eager for faith. A unique reality is the missionary zeal of the lay Catholics themselves who reach out and share their faith with others. That is why we are blessed with very significant number of adult bap sms in our parishes on a regular basis. Therefore this is the right me to push ahead with the mis-sion work by providing personnel and resources. The Mission Co-op Plan is an important way you are helping us to do direct evange-liza on of the non-Catholics, adult faith forma on of the bap zed, educa ng children through our Catholic schools, providing healing ministry through medical apostolate and upli ing the quality of life of the popula on through self-help projects in the rural villages. Thank you for being a par cipant in the missionary efforts of the universal Catholic Church.
