To Whom It May Concern:
I am currently seeking a position in the Fort Worth area. I resigned my position with Girl Scouts as Chief
Development Officer in July to prepare for our move to Fort Worth. Now I am in the process of job hunting.
At Girl Scouts, I held two positions. Before I became the Chief Development Officer, I was the Director of
Communications and Marketing. I was with Girl Scouts for 4 years (2012-2016).
Prior to Girl Scouts, I worked for an organization called Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch (YBGR). At the time
there were nearly 500 employees. I was at YBGR from 2000-2012. YBGR is a mental health facility for children
offering residential services as well as community based services.

I have had the pleasure of working with Andrea Kenney for more than 15 years. I worked with her in many
capacities, while she served as the Marketing and Communications Director and Chief Development Officer for
Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming, and also when she was the Assistant to the CEO and Director of Public
Relations, Media, Marketing and Grants at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch. Her hard work and dedication led
to many promotions. She is one of those people who always wants to learn more. She tackles new projects
with enthusiasm. I have much respect for Andrea.
Andrea and I launched a Public Service campaign for the Girls Scouts, as well as a video promoting the Girl Scout
Gold Award recipients. We worked closely on several large video communications projects, television
commercials, press conferences, campus events and web site improvements at the Yellowstone Boys & Girls
Ranch. When I needed information and results, Andrea was the "go-to" person who got things done. She
manages multifaceted projects with ease. She is creative, intelligent and a problem solver.
Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is a large organization where communication can be complex due to the
nature of their business. Balancing the need for privacy with public communication can be difficult. Andrea
developed new systems to improve communications. She handled every situation professionally, skillfully and
successfully.
The 50th Anniversary of the Ranch was a huge undertaking. Andrea managed the public relations and alumni
communications. The event was a great success.
She has excellent written and oral communication skills. She is just as comfortable giving a presentation to a
large group of people as she is one-on-one. Always the consummate professional, she is detail-oriented,
curious, kind, generous, and a people person.
Andrea would make a great addition to your staff. I would be happy to discuss Andrea's skills in more detail at
any time.
Sincerely,
Anne Gauer

To Whom It May Concern:
This is a letter of recommendation for Andrea Kenney. I had known Andrea as a co-worker for several years before she became my supervisor at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch. She had exceptional inter-personal and communication skills before she moved forward to obtain her master's degree in communication and public relations which only enhanced her natural abilities as a communicator and leader.
After, Andrea became my supervisor she motivated me to receive my certification as an administrative professional so that I could move up from an administrative assistant to the office manager and continued to mentor me even though she was younger. Andrea's strength lies in that she is as invested in the success of the team and people she supervises as she is invested in her own success.
As a supervisor she taught me that criticism should always be constructive and solution based. Blame is irrelevant. I increased my skill levels as Andrea brought me into the electronic age. She is very good at assessing challenges and mapping out a plan to make the people she supervises and works with feel that they are vested in the results of a project which makes her a natural teacher and mentor.
When Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch needed an ethics continuing education class for all of the 400 plus employees, Andrea developed a program and a power point presentation and taught the class each year. She later helped me to modify the presentation to make the program more relevant for my continuing education class for credits for the Rimrock Chapter of the Administrative Assistants Association accreditation.
Andrea Kenney is a natural teacher, mentor and leader who make an excellent addition to any organization.

I am pleased to write an open letter of recommendation for Andrea Kenney, MBA. As
Chief Operating Officer for Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch (YBGR) Community
Division, I had an opportunity to work directly with Ms. Kenney on numerous occasions
as Director of Public Relations and was her direct supervisor between 2010 and 2012
when Andrea moved into the Administrative Services Director position for the
Community Division. We worked on multiple key projects during our time together at
YBGR. It was a wonderful opportunity to observe her skills and abilities.
My recommendation comes with high praise for Ms. Kenney’s ability to work under
pressure meeting deadlines, responding to public relations matters both internally and
with the local media. She communicates effectively and is one of the most organized
professionals in public relations and marketing that I have ever met.
As Administrative Services Director, Ms. Kenney’s project management skills were
evident by her handling of multiple projects and tasks at the same time. Her attention to
