Aspiring UX Designer
Stephen Hannon
Ever since the age of 14, I have always had a deep interest and passion for UX Design. My rst big project came during
high school, where I created a site for children between the ages of 8 and 12. This gave me the chance to really test my
skills, as the site needed to be as easy to use as possible. The use of audio feedback and large, clearly clickable buttons
helped to draw users to key areas.
In my spare time, I love to keep up to date with trends and to search for inspiration through sites such as Dribble, as well as
by following agencies like Creativedash and Cuberto. I am also currently teaching myself HTML and CSS both through
college courses and Codecademy. When creating sites and mapping out my UX's, I prefer to use Adobe Photoshop, which I college courses and Codecademy. When creating sites and mapping out my UX's, I prefer to use Adobe Photoshop, which I
have been using for over 4 years now. I am very comfortable with Photoshop, and this helps me to quickly mock up and
create my ideas. I then move onto Sublime Text to actually code the sites, although with my limited coding knowledge, I am
not as ecient in this area as I one day wish to be.
My deep interest in UX means that I can often be found in front of my computer with Photoshop on one screen while I am My deep interest in UX means that I can often be found in front of my computer with Photoshop on one screen while I am
working/relaxing on the other. This allows me to quickly and eciently design through multitasking, as well as being handy
for any spontaneous ideas that I may have. The key thing that draws me into UX design is the way that you can alter and
manipulate the way a user reads information, purely by changing layouts or design aspects, and without a user ever even
noticing.

the work teaching myself new techniques and methods and also reading up on the latest design trends and tools. Since I
had a lot of free time me and a friend decided to co-create an online design team called SK Concept, from this we created
our own brand and gained a small client base, one of which is now an award winning lm production company called
Northreel.

of people would give me great satisfaction. I would also like to hone my design skills more, as well as become a more e-
cient coder.
