PROJECT 2 RESPONSIVE SITE design Harry potter - book 1 chapter 1 Step 1 Hand-drawn Roughs – Draw three sets of hand-drawn roughs. Your goal here is to start defining the design and organization of your Harry Potter website, and how it will appear on various size devices. You will ultimately be required to create a website which presents well on a mobile phone, tablet and laptop/desktop screens – so you will need to do at least three roughs for each design direction. Presentation Critique – Hand draw roughs on plain white paper in black ink. Due Week 6, February 27 | 10 points possible Step 2 a Using Adobe Illustrator, create a wireframe of your chosen design direction in at least three widths (phone, tablet, desktop). I will supply an Illustrator document with three appropriately sized artboards which you may modify to your needs. b In the same file, on a new layer, create a comp for each size using the images and copy which I’ve supplied. The comp probably won’t match your wireframe exactly as you’ll need to adjust to the reality of actual content. Presentation Multi-layered Illustrator file, plus any new images you create, zipped and uploaded to class file server. Due Week 7, March 5 | 20 points possible Step 3 Using Adobe Dreamweaver, create your flexible and respon- sive Harry Potter website. I will review your final webpages on a desk- top computer, laptop computer, tablet and smartphone. Your website must work equally well on all of these devices. Note Navigation items in header and footer of page must behave like links (e.g. pointer cursor and hover effects), but do not need to actively link to other pages. Presentation Uploaded to your web server. You must have a link to this project in the Project dropdown menu on your homepage. Due Week 9, March 19 | 30 points possible
