The delivery of a high quality HR service to both internal and external stakeholders to support outstanding outcomes for pupils in a caring and inclusive environment. Responsibilities and accountabilities – General 1. To be the operational HR lead and the main source of advice for Principals and other managers. 2. To develop the overall People and OD Strategy as we develop and grow as an organisation. 3. To develop the implementation of a learning and development strategy that focuses on Continuous Professional Development for all employees. 4. To develop an employee relations, resourcing, performance, pay and benefits in line with best practice initiatives. 5. To implement ‘fit for purpose’ management information systems with the support of IT. 6. To review and provide recommendations for performance management. 7. To review and develop policies and procedures in those areas which are statutory requirements for the Romero Catholic Academy. 8. Provide input as required to in-house and external events.

KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB To ensure that The Romero Catholic Multi Academy Company recruits, develops, manages, and retains the staff it

Responsibilities and accountabilities – General

11. Represent The Romero Catholic Academy positively and effectively in HR related activities with external stakeholders and agencies.
12. Develop plans, policies and procedures for all areas within scope of the post and ensure compliance in line with CES and diocesan policy.
13. Deputise for the Academy Business Director as and when required.
14. To maintain, analyse and report on HR records, monitoring areas such as recruitment, absence, disciplinary, turnover, payroll, pensions and other key factors, producing management information to deadlines to support decision making.
15. To support managers in delivering a consistent approach to staff management, acting as a central point for HR information, support and guidance, and liaising with legal advice providers.
16. To provide support and advice on all aspects of organisational development including TUPE transfer, restructure and redundancy.
17. Raise the profile of HR in the organisation.
18. To lead employment-related aspects of the equality and diversity agenda.
19. To lead on the development and delivery of HR implementation plans, strategies and policies and procedures.
20. Manage complex HR cases.
21. Lead on the implementation of any specific HR-related projects as necessary.
22. Maintain effective employee relations through consultation with Trade Union representatives and departments.
23. Responsible for a HR budget of £37,000 and Apprentice Levy Budget of £44,000.
24. Design and deliver training and development courses to be delivered to staff.
25. To develop an apprenticeship strategy and manage the apprenticeship levy.
26. Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Academy Business Director.
