Creating a LinkedIn Account
Navigate to Linkedin.com and populate each field with required info
An option is your resource solutions email account (whichever email you use will be your sign-in)

If you already have a LinkedIn Account:
To Do o Make sure the page is connected to the company page
o Include your title and a tag line:
“We Help Financial Advisors Maximize their Marketing”
“We Don’t Just Sell Marketing, We Sell Results”
“At Resource Solutions we have consultants – we customize our results to you”
“Marketing Consultant NOT order fillers/takers”
o Offer a complete and robust contact section
Company Website
Company E-mail
Company Phone with your Ext.
o Company Summary
Here you can add the company summary in the template
We will frequently update the media section to reflect RSI’s freshness ☺
Media will consist of:
o PowerPoints
o Prezi’s
o Videos
o Pdf’s

Reaching out to
current clients
is a great place
to start!
Reaching Out to Clients, Companies, Groups… etc.
Upon completing your account you can begin reaching out to clients,
groups, networks and companies.

Remember:
If you are not a 1st Degree connection, you must invite the person to connect before corresponding with
them.
LinkedIn allows members to join up to 50 groups. The suggested amount is 15-20

1. Navigate to the Search bar type in keywords or group title
2. Select the three (horizontal) lines – from the drop down menu select ‘Groups’

Above is a PERFECT example of using LinkedIn to prospect.
If you were a member of this group you could comment with a response on tips for new advisors. You could include the
importance of marketing, to get your name out there as an advisor. To build credibility share an article link or a slide share
(similar to PowerPoint) filled with tips.
In about two weeks you could check in with him (because you of course sent him an invite to connect) and then gently let him
know what you do and offer a free consultation…
Anytime I come across potential leads just like the one above, I document the Who, What, Where,
When and Why on an excel spreadsheet.
