Le Chambon is in France, and is a commune in the Haute-Loire department in south-central

They were hidden in private homes, on

farms in the area, as well as in public

institutions. Whenever the Nazi patrols

came searching, they were hidden in the

countryside.

He was an German spy and member of

the Nazi party who is credited with

saving the lives of 1,200 Jews during the

Holocaust.

He want that they accepted to the Polish
