NARRATIVE Crime dramas usually start with the

ending which is a common key convention of crime dramas so it could be a murder and the rest of the show would be unveiling how it has happened, when a season ends that's when the narrative drags on to the next season.

The settings would usually be either in the main head quarters where they have a meeting and decide who does what also there would be a lab that could be the main setting.
