The tagline Dont let go, suggests that this movie is dramatic or tense. You could suggest the tagline links to the distressed woman shown and she could be thinking/saying it.

The woman shown also seems to be in some sort of helmet and I can infer from the title of the film Gravity, that the film has an astronomical significance.

The dominate colour black seen in the poster could link to the emptiness of space and also compliments the woman so you can see her facial expression. She could be seen as an object of curio as the reason why she is shocked is uncertain.

Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are both portrayed as the hero and heroine on this poster, you can detect that the film is based some time in the future from the advanced technology that the characters are wearing.

I can also detect that the film may be based in a conflict from the missiles and planes in the background. The characters shown are also gritty looking as if they have already been or are going through a conflict. The tagline and the film title both to do with periods of time so you in infer that the battle is on-going. The background also contains renaissance looking building which could tell you the film is set in Italy or France etc.

This film has the elements of action in it due to all the havoc in the background. The character shown looks like a villain because of his evil look and is wearing all black which is associated with death. The character shown could either be responsible for the destruction, or could be trying to prevent it, this raises hints of mystery as to if his is a villain or a hero.

The character also is wearing body armour which may suggest he is fighting someone or something, the armour looks advanced and modern which may also suggest the film is based in the modern day or future. There is a bat figure in-between the buildings and the bat behind the title. Since bats are associated with fear, this could link back to the character of the film in general.
