2014 Workshop attended: 1 (Suma – National)
Points for Discussion: Collaborative Research: Can we as a department/faculty come
together for collaborative projects or joint research papers
What are the possibilities to strengthen attendance of seminars and paper presentations?
Incentives?
Conducts intensive SPSS and quantitative research training.
Not very productive for the relatively less quantitative research we do as a department.
Possibility: Identify some faculty who engage and guide
quantitative research in ELT, Linguistics and such and arrange a 2-3 day workshop with CART for them.
They can in turn act as ‘facilitators’ for the other faculty in the department.
What are the core papers to be chosen for 2014? What are the possible modules that can be drawn
from these? Why? What is the extent of the content to be prepared? How will it be prepared? Who will be involved? (Cannot be an individual project. Each member of
the group will have to be involved along with the co-ordinators.)
