Area - Desert

I plan for my main level to be set in a desert. In small

areas, there may be a bit of woodland, but I mainly want to create my world in a desert environment. I will gather a range of ideas such as vegetation and housing.

Theme – Wild West

The theme for my environment would be wild west,

so he year would be around/before 1900 and towns would consist of wooden structures, sandy trails and cacti vegetation.

These films were all set in the area and time period

in which I wish to base my environment upon. They have provided inspiration as they depict what living in those times would be like, as well as features in the environment

Games

The games have also provided inspiration. The great

thing about games is that ones like Red Dead Redemption give you the freedom to explore. With this, I was able to explore the vast terrain in that universe and gather tons of ideas for assets I could create and terrain features.

Notable items from this period include cowboy

clothing (e.g. Sheriffs hats, vests, boots), Carriages, worn wooden furniture, barrels of alcohol, and weaponry (rifles, revolvers, shotguns). I plan to make quite a lot of wooden furniture, carriages, and a number of weapons which could be hung on walls for example.

Plants in this area of the world revolve mostly

around the cacti family. I plan to make lots of different cacti for my environment to add more life to the desert.
