Slavoljub Eduard Penkala (1871-1922) from Zagreb invented a mechanical ball pen which is bearing his name and now it is in everyday use.

•Slatina is a small town which is in the east of Croatia (Slavonija region) and its population is around 12 000. •We have two main Primary schools, two High schools and two kindergardens.

Our school has got 633 pupils in 37 departments and our regional schools, which are located in the villages near the main school, have 63 pupils in combined classes.

We also have 15 children in classes with special needs and are divided into 3 classes depending on pupils age.

Total number of teachers,

pedagogical staff and administration is 63.
